With over 5 million sq. ft. of greenhouse space in BC and Alberta, we operate advanced, resource-efficient growing systems powered by skilled, hands-on teams. Our workforce scales seasonally from 500 to 1,000+ employees across multiple provinces. At Rainbow, we grow plants, people, and partnerships with long-term success in mind.

About the Opportunity

The Business Analyst & Programs role is a Sales department student opportunity focused on driving measurable business value through a dedicated optimization project. Working closely with the Sales team, you’ll lead a project that addresses a real business opportunity – from initial audit through final recommendations – gaining hands-on exposure to retail program analysis, margin modeling, and executive-level presentation of results.

Who This Opportunity Is For

This is a student opportunity open to co-op students, interns, practicum students, and recent graduates. Placement length and timing are flexible and can be set up to meet your school’s work-integrated learning requirements (typically 4-, 8-, or 12-month terms). If your program has specific hour or evaluation requirements, we’re happy to work with your school.

What You’ll Do

  • Audit and categorize SKU performance across an assigned retail program
  • Build a contribution margin model to assess true SKU-level profitability
  • Identify and surface hidden costs not currently reflected in pricing
  • Present rationalization recommendations with supporting analysis
  • Transition into additional analytical projects upon completion

What You Bring

  • Curiosity and initiative to dig into a problem and see it through to a solution
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presenting to stakeholders
  • Ability to manage a project independently while meeting milestones and deadlines
  • Comfort working cross-functionally with Sales and other departments

What We Offer

  • Competitive wages that reflect your experience and the work you bring
  • Hands-on ownership of a real business project, from analysis through executive presentation
