Raise Workforce has partnered with the leading provider of workforce camp and hospitality services, operations and maintenance services. They are seeking a Journeyperson HVAC Tech that will be responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance, inspections, modifications, installation, and dismantling of systems. Work may also include projects within the trade to install, maintain, repair and overhaul central air conditioning systems, commercial and industrial refrigeration systems and combined heating, ventilation and cooling systems.
What You Will Be Doing...
- Completes timely inspections, testing and accurate reporting of equipment defects/deficiencies.
- Performs preventive & corrective maintenance service on HVAC and Refrigeration systems and fixtures.
- Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on all kitchen appliances and equipment.
- Provides input into the planned and scheduled work and assists with the completion of the committed schedule.
- Assists with the scoping, estimating, planning and execution of new work or projects.
- Ensures all requirements as specified by the manufacturer of systems and fixtures are met.
- Ensures all installations, repairs and maintenance meet the requirements of the appropriate codes.
- Ensure all installations, repairs and maintenance meet environmental protection requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
Why this is the right job for you…
- Journeyman Certified HVAC Refrigeration Mechanic (Red Seal) with a minimum of five years’ experience
- Class B Gas Fitter License
- Current certificates in Fall Arrest, Confined Space, and Elevated Work Platform are preferred.
- Skilled with the reading and interpretation of blueprints, drawings, & schematics.
- Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Software) is considered an asset.
- The ability to work in a team environment is crucial along with a strong commitment to personal and team safety.
- Strong knowledge of safe work practices and procedures typical for maintenance operations.
- Highly experienced customer/client/user management in a 24/7 operation with a strong customer focus.
- Ability to work safely with a wide variety of hand and power tools as well as varying materials.
- Basic PC skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- and Outlook.
- Professional communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask.
- Work well under pressure.
- Effectively solve problems.
- Class 5 licence with a clean drivers abstract required.
- You’re able to work in BC from now until Dec 31
- Willingness to complete pre-employment screening include criminal record check and 10-panel drug and alcohol screen including THC
