Raise is currently hiring a Business Analyst on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader. Our Client, is one of North America's leading energy infrastructure companies with operations in natural gas, oil and power industries throughout Canada, the United States, and Mexico

Note: The primary pay rate is based on T4 classification; however, we will also consider applications from candidates interested in an INC classification, where applicable.

Description

The Junior Business Analyst to join our clients Project Support team. In this role, you will act as a critical bridge between internal stakeholders, project managers, and external vendors. You will be responsible for streamlining financial and administrative workflows, ensuring invoice accuracy, maintaining purchase orders, and supporting seamless month-end processes within an enterprise resource planning environment.

Responsibilities

Coordinate daily with internal stakeholders and vendors to manage contract rates and resolve invoice issues
Create service requisitions and maintain purchase orders (POs), including updates, revisions, and closeouts
Review, validate, and process vendor invoices to ensure accuracy and compliance with contract terms
Prepare and post month‑end accrual entries in SAP
Complete SAP Service Entry Sheets (SES) for all non-construction activities
Attest survey field tickets and all non-construction invoices in eCommerce/VIM, including:
Verifying site or Project Manager approvals
Confirming services and materials are within the approved scope of work
Checking quantities, rates, and data entry accuracy
Follow up on missing approvals, documentation, and revisions to support timely invoice processing
Support resolution of invoice discrepancies, escalations, and payment issues with vendors and internal teams
Work directly with vendors to address billing questions and support compliance with process and system requirements

Qualifications

1 to 3 years of experience in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain, or Data Analysis
Practical knowledge or hands-on academic/professional exposure to SAP modules, Service Entry Sheets (SES), and invoice management systems such as OpenText Vendor Invoice Management (VIM) or eCommerce platforms.
Proven capability to audit and cross-reference complex documentation (e.g., field tickets, service contracts, and vendor billing) against pre-approved scopes of work, rates, and quantities with high attention to detail.
Experience or coursework involving procurement lifecycles, maintaining purchase orders (POs), creating service requisitions, and assisting with month-end financial tasks like accrual entries.
Strong interpersonal and written communication skills necessary to interface directly with external vendors, troubleshoot billing discrepancies, and track down missing approvals under tight operational deadlines
Strong numerical aptitude with intermediate-to-advanced Microsoft Excel skills (such as working with large data sets, lookups, and basic data tracking) to support efficient reporting and discrepancy tracking.
Education and Certifications
Post-secondary degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related analytical discipline, complemented by professional experience (internships, co-op terms, or junior corporate roles preferred).
