Business Systems Analyst – Utilities Asset Management System on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an esteemed educational institution.
Note: The primary pay rate is based on T4 classification; however, we will also consider applications from candidates interested in an INC classification, where applicable.
Description
Our client is implementing a Utilities Asset Management System (AMS) to support asset management, maintenance, operational, and business requirements. The Business Systems Analyst / AMS System Administrator will be responsible for the day-to-day administration, configuration, security, integration, performance, and continuous improvement of the system.
This role will serve as the technical and functional connection between business users, IT teams, vendors, and integrated systems, supporting the effective adoption and ongoing optimization of the AMS.
Responsibilities
- System Administration & Configuration: Configure and maintain system settings, workflows, forms, fields, business rules, asset classifications, reports, dashboards, and system parameters.
- User Administration & Security: Manage user accounts, roles, permissions, SSO, access controls, and periodic access reviews.
- Data Management & Governance: Maintain data integrity and quality, support data cleansing and migration, manage asset records, and enforce data standards.
- System Integration: Coordinate and monitor integrations between the AMS and enterprise systems using APIs and other approved integration methods.
- System Maintenance & Testing: Coordinate system upgrades, patches, releases, enhancements, testing, and implementation of approved changes.
- Application Support: Provide first-tier support, troubleshoot system and workflow issues, and coordinate escalations with IT and vendors.
- Reporting & Analytics: Develop reports, dashboards, KPIs, and system performance metrics to support operational decision-making.
- Vendor & Service Management: Coordinate vendor support, technical issues, enhancements, SLAs, and service requests.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve workflows, processes, system usability, data quality, and operational efficiency.
- Stakeholder & Change Support: Communicate system updates, support change initiatives, and provide training and documentation to users.
Qualifications
- Experience administering Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) or Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Experience with system configuration, workflows, business rules, reports, and dashboards.
- Experience managing user access, roles, permissions, and security controls.
- Experience with asset data management, data quality, governance, and migration.
- Experience with system integrations and APIs.
- Experience supporting system upgrades, testing, releases, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with reporting, KPIs, and system performance monitoring.
- Experience with incident, problem, vendor, or service management.
- Strong business analysis, process improvement, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work across technical and business teams.
- Nice to Haves:
- Experience with utilities asset management systems.
- Knowledge of utilities operations, maintenance, work orders, maintenance planning, or scheduling.
- Experience with ITIL, information governance, or records management.
- Experience with continuous improvement and business process optimization.
- Experience supporting enterprise system implementations or enhancements.
- Records management or information governance certification is considered an asset.
- Education and Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- ITIL Foundation or higher is considered an asset.
