Location: St John’s, Newfoundland

Raise is currently hiring an Offshore Logistics Advisor on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader. Our Client is a globally competitive integrated energy company that extracts, produces and provides energy from a mix of sources, ranging from oil sands to renewable fuels.

Note: The primary pay rate is based on T4 classification; however, we will also consider applications from candidates interested in an INC classification, where applicable.

Description

The Offshore Logistics Advisor to join our clients deep-water drilling operations. In this critical role, you will collaborate closely with offshore drilling supervisors, engineers, service companies, onshore logistics teams, and operations geologists to ensure that deep-water wells are drilled efficiently and safely. You will serve as the primary offshore logistics coordination contact, overseeing cargo readiness, vessel loading, backload management, marine/helicopter operations, and emergency response support.

Responsibilities

Works with offshore drilling supervisors, engineers, service companies, onshore logistics, and operations geologists to ensure the deep-water wells are drilled efficiently and safely.
Manage engagement with service providers to ensure cargo readiness, adherence to sailing schedules, and accurate vessel loading plans and voyage updates aligned with offshore operational requirements.
Support management of backload materials, waste, and equipment returns from offshore in collaboration with offshore logistics personnel.
Serve as the primary offshore logistics coordination contact for internal teams and external contractors.
Support emergent and unplanned logistics requirements with flexibility and effective prioritization.
Maintaining continuous and effective communications with the Onshore Logistics Lead to ensure the effective scheduling and utilization of all logistics resources.
Ensures that all materials and personnel are tracked in Company’s designated logistics tool.
Assists with shipping / receiving manifests and transport of materials and personnel.
Assists in the planning and management of all onshore marine and helicopter operations, personnel movements, crew changes and POB control on a daily basis.
Coordinates the daily planner for all materials, personnel and vessel operations
Liaison for onshore vendors to ensure that personnel, services, materials, equipment, etc. are available in the correct quantity and quality
Prioritization of conflicting operational requirements to ensure those operational objectives are accomplished within the specified and critical path schedule.
Support medevac/casevac coordination and security-related logistics activities during emergency or training events.
Support after hours logistics requirements including emergency ad hoc personnel movements.
Participates in the onboard safety program, safety meetings, complies and participates in investigations as required.

Qualifications

Must have at least 10 years’ experience in oil and gas industry
Must have knowledge of CAPP standards for lifting & hoisting as well as DNV 2.7.1
Must have knowledge of drilling tools and equipment
Proficient in Microsoft Office 365
Knowledge of KABAL and Dawinci is desirable
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Education and Certifications
Certification for travel offshore Newfoundland will be required for this position

Additional Information

Role will be rotational in nature; 4 weeks offshore and 4 weeks off with 12 hours per day. Likely a very short period of time in the office at the start.
Role will initially involve one to two 28 day rotations at a shipyard in Norway
Offshore operations expected to commence in March of 2027
