Job purpose

As ramarketing’s PR Lead, you will lead and develop our PR capability, taking overall responsibility for the direction, performance, quality and development of the function and its people.

Reporting to the Head of Capabilities, you’ll set a clear direction for PR, ensuring the right expertise, skills, standards and ways of working are in place to deliver high-quality, integrated PR solutions for our clients.

You’ll lead and empower the PR team, creating clarity and accountability for performance, while developing the technical capability and confidence of the people within it.

As our senior PR specialist, you’ll maintain strong technical and market expertise, ensuring our approach evolves alongside changes in media, reputation, communications, technology and client needs. Alongside leading the function, you’ll remain actively involved in client work, providing senior counsel and strategic direction where you can add the greatest value.

What you’ll be responsible for…

This is a leadership role with responsibility for both the impact of our PR capability and the value it creates for our clients.

You’ll balance people and functional leadership with technical credibility, client impact and the continued evolution of what we offer.

Operational and Strategic Leadership

Set the direction. Build capability. Create accountability.

Lead, empower and develop the PR team through clear expectations, coaching, feedback and performance management.
Build the skills, technical confidence and succession needed to create a strong and sustainable function.
Own the standards and quality of PR work, ensuring consistently strong strategic thinking and delivery across the team.

Evolve our PR expertise and offering

The communications landscape doesn’t stand still - and neither can we.

Stay ahead of developments across media relations, reputation, thought leadership, technology and emerging communications channels, translating them into practical improvements.
Shape how our PR capability and services evolve in response to changing client, industry and market needs.
Maintain the technical credibility to challenge thinking, guide specialists and set a clear point of view for the discipline.

Bring senior expertise to our clients

You'll the PR capability, but you won't be disconnected from the work.

Provide senior PR strategy, counsel and direction on complex or high-value client work.
Translate client objectives and challenges into effective PR and communications strategies, bringing clarity and credible senior counsel.
Support pitches, proposals and growth opportunities where PR expertise can create additional value.

Increase PR’s internal influence
