Audit Manager I, IT Audit | Toronto | Permanent
Location - Toronto, ON
Work Arrangement - Hybrid (four days onsite per week)
Employment Type - Permanent
Base Salary - $100,000–$105,000 annually
About the Opportunity:
Our client, a major Canadian bank, is hiring an Audit Manager I to help evaluate how well its technology controls work in practice. You’ll work with the internal audit team and meet with technology and business partners to understand how systems are managed, review evidence, and explain where controls could be stronger.
This opportunity is ideal for someone with hands-on IT audit experience who enjoys working with technology teams and wants to build on their experience across the full audit cycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meet with process owners to understand how IT controls work and identify what needs to be tested.
- Review evidence to determine whether controls, such as user access and software change approvals, are working as intended.
- Prepare audit workpapers that clearly explain what was tested, the evidence reviewed, and the results.
- Support audit planning by helping identify key technology risks and determine which controls to review.
- Help write audit findings that explain the issue, its cause, and its potential impact.
- Follow up on agreed corrective actions and review evidence to confirm that issues have been addressed.
Qualifications:
- At least three years of experience in IT audit, technology risk, or a related area.
- Hands-on experience testing IT general controls (ITGCs), such as user access and change management.
- Exposure to application, infrastructure, or data environments.
- Undergraduate degree in information technology, computer science, accounting, or a related field.
- CISA, CISSP, CIA, or CPA is preferred. Candidates without CISA are expected to obtain it within 12 months of joining.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies, APIs, Agile delivery, databases, or operating systems such as Unix or Windows is an asset.
- Ability to explain technical findings clearly, write organized audit documentation, and manage competing deadlines.
