Business Systems Analyst – Deposits (Contract)

Number of Positions: 1 Duration: 6 months initial contract

Location: Toronto, ON, CA

Must be eligible to work in Canada

Hybrid position 3-4d/w onsite downtown Toronto

Roles and responsibilities:

We are currently transitioning to a product-based model and adopting Agile/Scrum methodologies to better serve our clients. We are seeking a technically-oriented Business Systems Analyst to join our Deposits team.

In this role, you won't just be documenting requirements; you will be the technical engine supporting our deposit products (GICs and Savings) within a Java-based UI environment. This is a perfect fit for an analyst who understands the "language of banking" and isn't afraid to get under the hood of a technical system.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Lifecycle Support: Manage and support deposit account origination and essential back-end processes.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Provide Level 2 technical support, including investigating system behaviors and identifying fixes.
  • System Enhancements: Facilitate minor UI enhancements and technical updates within our Java-based environment.
  • Business Collaboration: Partner closely with business stakeholders to provide ongoing deposit product management support.
  • Agile Delivery: Work within a Scrum framework to deliver iterative improvements to our product suite.

Must-Haves:

Experience Level: 5+ years mandatory

  • 5+ Years of Experience: Proven track record in a Business Systems Analyst or Technical Analyst role.
  • Deep Banking Domain Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of Deposit Products (GICs and Savings). We prioritize your business domain expertise over specific SAP technical skills.
  • Technical Aptitude: Strong comfort level working within Java-based UI environments. You should be able to navigate technical architectures and translate business needs into technical specifications.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Development Exposure: Previous experience in development or a high comfort level making minor code changes/fixes.
  • Agile Experience: Prior experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • SAP Knowledge: While not mandatory, familiarity with SAP functional environments is an asset.
