Project Manager – Enterprise Process Automation

Company Overview

Our client is an established, industry-leading financial services institution with over 35 years of experience supporting Canadian investors and market participants. Renowned for its innovative clearing, custody, and trade execution operations, the organization fosters an inclusive, high-performance culture that has consistently earned recognition as one of Canada's Top 100 Employers and a Great Place to Work®.

Role Overview

We are seeking an adaptable, results-oriented Project Manager to lead and support high-impact, multi-year enterprise automation initiatives. In this role, you will bridge the gap between business strategy and execution by leading distributed Agile delivery teams, driving continuous process improvement, and implementing scalable solutions across Canadian capital markets.

Main Responsibilities

Strategic Delivery & Planning: Collaborate with business stakeholders and senior leadership to define delivery approaches, roadmaps, milestones, and project timelines.
Agile Leadership & Scrum Facilitation: Serve as the day-to-day Scrum Master for distributed Agile teams; facilitate sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives, and reviews while championing Agile best practices.
Execution & Financial Tracking: Manage project scope, resource allocation, schedules, and project financials across all phases of the lifecycle.
Risk & Change Management: Proactively identify, track, and mitigate project risks and dependencies.
Deployment & Operational Readiness: Oversee business readiness, deployment strategies, and smooth operational handoffs.
Executive Communication: Prepare and present regular status updates, key performance metrics, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and C-suite executives.
Vendor & Integration Oversight: Partner with third-party vendors to integrate external solutions cleanly into core ecosystems and workflows.

Must Haves

Education & Experience: Post-secondary degree (or equivalent practical experience) with 3–5 years of dedicated project management experience within the financial services sector.
Process Automation: Demonstrated experience delivering process automation or operational efficiency initiatives.
Agile Expertise: In-depth working knowledge of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, Lean) and hands-on experience running ceremonies in a matrixed environment.
Communication & Influence: Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills suited for cross-functional teams and executive leadership.
Work Authorization: Valid work authorization for Canada.

Nice to Haves

Capital Markets Domain: Prior experience in Capital Markets, custody, clearing operations, or book-of-record systems.
Certifications: PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, PSM, or SAFe certification.
Vendor Management: Experience integrating complex third-party vendor platforms into existing internal tech architectures.

Other Important Information

Compensation: Base Salary 100k-120k + Lucrative Bonus & RRSP Contributions
Work Model: Dynamic, flexible hybrid arrangement. Current hub location is Downtown Toronto (Bay St.), transitioning to a new office facility in Mississauga in late 2026.
Retirement & Savings: Non-matching, 100% employer-funded group RRSP contribution program activated after 6 months of employment.
Health & Wellness: Day-one comprehensive health benefits with 100% employer-paid premiums, including up to $6,000/year for mental health services and therapy.
Parental Support: 100% salary top-up for parental leave for up to 25 weeks.
Work Setup & Learning: Up to $650 home office equipment allowance, access to 11,000+ continuous learning courses, tuition assistance, and designated certification incentives.
Time Off: Competitive paid time off, plus 2 paid annual days dedicated to charitable volunteer work.
