General Role Info
- Job Title: Technical Sales Representative
- Location: Greater Toronto Area (GTA), Ontario
- Work Model: Mostly Remote / Hybrid (with travel to client sites across the GTA)
As a Technical Sales Representative, you will take direct ownership of business development and commercial growth in the Canadian market. Working in close collaboration with the Managing Director, you will actively prospect, build customer relationships, open doors, and expand distribution channels for specialized industrial and automation cables.
Main Responsibilities
- Drive business development and account growth across Canada by identifying, targeting, and securing new customer opportunities.
- Establish, manage, and expand strong relationships with electrical distributors, industrial distributors, OEMs, machine builders, system integrators, panel builders, and industrial end users.
- Conduct client site visits and technical discussions to understand customer applications and recommend tailored cable and wiring solutions.
- Partner closely with electrical and industrial distribution networks to drive sell-through and brand positioning.
- Deliver technical sales presentations, product demonstrations, and technical guidance on industrial cables, tray cables, VFD cables, and automation wiring.
- Execute full-cycle sales strategies from initial prospect identification to contract negotiation and ongoing account management.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and channel needs to continuously identify growth avenues in the Canadian industrial ecosystem.
Must Haves
- Experience: Solid B2B technical sales experience within the industrial cable, automation cable, electrical distribution, or industrial automation sectors.
- Channel Knowledge: Proven track record selling to and through electrical and industrial distributors.
- Network: Existing relationships with distributors, OEMs, panel builders, machine builders, or industrial end users in Canada.
- Technical Aptitude: Strong ability to engage in technical product discussions with engineers, panel builders, and procurement teams.
- Market Familiarity: Deep knowledge of the Canadian industrial automation and manufacturing landscape.
- Location & Mobility: Based in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) with a valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to client sites across Ontario and Canada as needed.
- Soft Skills: Proactive, self-motivated, highly independent, and possess strong communication skills.
Nice to Haves
- Industry Background: Direct experience with manufacturers or specialty distributors such as Southwire, LUTZE, LAPP, igus, Elettrotek Kabel, HELUKABEL, or SAB.
- Product Knowledge: Direct sales expertise with industrial cables (TC-ER, VFD, CIC, MTW, WTTC, instrumentation, control, and flexible high-flex cables).
- Language Skills: Professional fluency in French is considered a strong asset.

- Salary Range: $100,000 - $120,000 CAD base salary per annum (plus performance incentives)
