Job Title: Technical Product Owner

Job Description:

The ETS Proactive Risk team is responsible for helping functions assess their risks through exams, metrics, readiness reviews, and proactive control assessments. Risks may include but are not limited to organizational structure, governance, operational deficiencies, adoption of new technologies, architecture, third-party integration, jurisdictional and regulatory obligations, data, security, and privacy.

Proactive Risk is seeking a Technical Product Owner to advance PrepMe, an agent-driven readiness assessment solution that accelerates internal Proactive Risk Assessments and mock exams. The role will provide product direction, adoption leadership, delivery governance over project-based consultants, and hands-on Microsoft Power Platform expertise to help scale PrepMe from prototype to broader use across technology risk and control stakeholders.

Role Overview

The PrepMe product team is responsible for advancing an agent-driven readiness assessment solution that accelerates internal Proactive Risk Assessments, or mock exams. PrepMe leverages Microsoft Power Platform to automate evidence analysis, targeted question-and-answer (Q&A) assessments, and executive reporting, helping technology teams identify gaps earlier, strengthen traceability, improve readiness quality, and produce consistent, defensible outputs for senior management and control stakeholders. This role is for a Technical Product Owner who will drive the evolution of PrepMe from prototype to broader adoption.

The individual will work closely with risk, technology, audit, product, and engineering stakeholders, a dedicated Jira/backlog owner, and project-based consultants responsible for much of the product build. The successful candidate will provide product direction, delivery governance, adoption leadership, and hands-on low-code/no-code expertise, with a strong understanding of mock exam execution, evidence review, reporting, and remediation.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead PrepMe adoption as an accelerant for internal Proactive Risk Assessments and mock exams.
  • Partner with risk, technology, audit, product, and management stakeholders to define use cases, requirements, workflows, reporting needs, and adoption success measures.
  • Work hand-in-hand with the dedicated Scrum Master to refine priorities, user stories, acceptance criteria, and sprint-ready work.
  • Provide delivery governance over project-based consultants performing the bulk of development work, including clarifying requirements, adjusting priorities, reviewing deliverables, resolving blockers, and ensuring quality.
  • Translate mock exam processes, technology risk expectations, and control requirements into product requirements, workflows, reporting logic, and operating procedures.
  • Lead adoption and stakeholder engagement through presentations, executive briefings, live demos, pilots, training materials, communications, and feedback loops.
  • Participate in Agile delivery activities, including planning, refinement, prioritization, showcases, retrospectives, and release readiness.
  • Design, configure, test, and enhance low-code/no-code capabilities using Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Copilot Studio, SharePoint, Teams, and Microsoft 365 integrations.
  • Guide the evolution of PrepMe agent workflows, including Evidence Analysis, Q&A Assessment, and Executive Reporting, with a focus on usability, traceability, control alignment, and reporting quality.
  • Support requirement-to-evidence mapping, scoring logic, assessment outputs, executive summaries, findings, recommendations, and remediation prioritization.
  • Establish appropriate product controls for human review, output validation, quality assurance, access management, data handling, and change governance.

Skills Required

  • Experience as a Product Owner, Technical Product Owner, Business Analyst, Product Manager, or equivalent role delivering technology products in an Agile environment.
  • Hands-on experience building or maintaining low-code/no-code solutions using Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Working knowledge of Power Apps, Power Automate, Copilot Studio, SharePoint, Teams, Microsoft 365 data sources, and enterprise low-code/no-code governance.
  • Understanding of technology risk assessments, mock exams, audit preparation, evidence collection, issue identification, reporting, and remediation tracking.
  • Ability to translate regulatory, control, technology risk, and operational requirements into product requirements, workflows, assessment logic, and reporting outputs.
  • Experience overseeing consultants, vendors, or delivery partners, including reviewing outputs, redirecting work, resolving blockers, and ensuring deliverables meet expectations.
  • Ability to develop user stories, acceptance criteria, prioritization inputs, dependencies, and release planning content in partnership with a Jira/backlog owner.
  • Experience supporting product adoption through presentations, demos, pilots, training, stakeholder communications, and feedback management.
  • Strong communication, analytical, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a global organization and drive execution across cross-functional teams.
  • Experience supporting process and control activities, risk assessments, controls testing, governance requirements, gap assessment, remediation, compliance readiness, audit response, third-party risk management, and applied control frameworks.

Skills Desired

  • Hands-on experience conducting, supporting, or preparing for internal Proactive Risk Assessments, mock exams, audit readiness reviews, or regulatory exam preparation.
  • Experience supporting readiness assessments for technology platforms, AI/GenAI solutions, cloud services, operational resilience, cybersecurity, infrastructure, or application development environments.
  • Familiarity with technology risk and control frameworks, such as NIST, COBIT, FFIEC, DORA, ITIL, SDLC, operational resilience, model risk, or AI governance.
  • Experience designing assessment scorecards, heatmaps, executive summaries, risk ratings, evidence inventories, questionnaire libraries, remediation dashboards, or management reporting.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dataverse, Power BI, connectors, APIs, solution packaging, environment strategy, role-based access, data loss prevention policies, or Power Platform governance.
  • Knowledge of agentic AI, prompt design, workflow orchestration, human-in-the-loop validation, output quality review, and responsible AI controls.
  • Experience working with internal audit, compliance, risk management, governance, regulatory exam, or first-line control teams in financial services or another highly regulated environment.
  • Experience moving a prototype or pilot product into broader adoption.
  • Relevant certifications such as Certified Scrum Product Owner, SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager, Microsoft Power Platform certifications, Agile certifications, ITIL, CRISC, CISA, or related technology risk credentials.
  • Education Level Bachelor's degree required
