Freelance Producer / Project Manager

RANG is a boutique creative production and social media agency specializing in branded content, commercial production, and short-form storytelling. We work with brands to develop engaging, creative-first campaigns, from concept development to final delivery.

Role Description

We're looking for a Toronto-based Freelance Producer / Project Manager to collaborate with us on a project basis, with potential for a long-term position.

You'll help manage a variety of projects, from branded case studies and corporate videos to UGC campaigns and short-form social content.

This is a paid, primarily remote role, with occasional on-site shoots in Toronto.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects independently from pre-production through post-production and final delivery.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, managing communication, feedback, and expectations.
• Create and maintain production schedules, budgets, work breakdown structures, and delivery timelines.
• Collaborate on sourcing and coordinating creatives, crew, editors, and other freelancers.
• Oversee shoots, post-production workflows, revisions, and final deliverables.
• Contribute to creative development, pitches, presentations, and decks when needed.
• Proactively identify challenges, communicate updates, and keep projects running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Previous producing experience, including smaller independent or commercial projects.
• Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills.
• Comfortable managing multiple stakeholders, deadlines, and approved budgets.
• Resourceful, proactive, collaborative, and able to work independently.
• Experience with commercial or corporate video production.
• UGC, social media, or short-form content experience is a strong asset.
• Comfortable developing pitches and creating presentation decks.
• Based in Toronto and available for occasional in-person shoots.

We're open to emerging producers and people early in their careers, as long as they have some hands-on producing experience!
