Original job description

At Range Group we believe in the power of the professional travel advisor. We represent over $4.5 billion in annual travel sales. All our investments stem from a common thesis, that travel advisors add real value to a trip. Travel advisors when equipped with technology and 24/7 support are irreplaceable. Equally important is our philanthropy. Range Foundation channels 10% of group profits to social impact. From exploration grants, improved access to education, new discoveries on sea and land, cultural infrastructure, and helping our global neighbors in times of need - we are investing to build a better future.

About the Role

Range Foundation is growing its charitable partnerships function, and we're looking for a Social Impact Specialist to help shape it. You'll assess which organizations we back, structure how we work with them, and bring their stories to life for employees, clients, and stakeholders across our family of companies. This is a hands-on role with real ownership, direct access to leadership, and a front-row seat to the impact your work creates.

Why you'll love this role:

Shape key programs. Two key programs are in their early stages, so your ideas will shape how we find, structure, and manage a new series of partnerships and grants.

Real ownership. You'll manage your own portfolio of local and international partners (ranging between $10k - $100K annually each) and see it through from first application to final impact report.

Learn from leaders. You'll work closely with the Director and Manager of Social Impact to support our largest partnerships and interact with Senior and Executive leadership across the organization.

Variety. One week you're vetting a new partner, the next you're writing a story, planning a volunteer day, or running an event.

See the world (a little). Up to 10% travel means the occasional trip to support events with partners, donors, our travel community, and VIP guests.

Meaningful work. Everything we do supports organizations making a difference, and you'll get to share that with the people around you.

What you'll do:

Manage charitable partnerships:

Own a portfolio of local and international partners across the full lifecycle: application review, due diligence, agreement, ongoing relationship, and impact reporting.

Build deep and sustained relationships with individual scientific grant recipients

Assess prospective partners for fit with Range Foundation's focus areas and approach.

Help structure partnerships and draft grant agreements, covering funding, deliverables, reporting requirements, payment schedules, and engagement opportunities.

Be the go-to contact for active partners, keeping communication strong and relationships healthy.

Track milestones and deliverables, so commitments are met on time.

Support the Director in finding and onboarding new partners and support the Manager and Director on our larger partnerships.

Keep grant files and due diligence records accurate and aligned with foundation governance standards.

Tell our impact story:

Help produce the annual impact report, turning data, partner stories, and campaign results into something people want to read.

Write on-brand content and produce visuals for email, social media, newsletters, blogs, and our intranet.

Develop strategies and materials that deepen engagement with our giving partners and amplify their stories.

Plan and run in-person and virtual activations, volunteer opportunities, and partner events for our teams.

Research trends and benchmarks to keep our giving strategy sharp.

Bring events to life:

Support 2-3 domestic or international events a year focused on partner stewardship, fundraising, and stakeholder engagement, for external and internal audiences.

Source venues, support contract negotiations, and keep details aligned with theme and budget.

Coordinate travel, itineraries, and accommodations for staff, VIP guests, and speakers.

Build and share agendas, timelines, and run sheets so everyone stays aligned.

Lead or assist with on-site setup, vendor coordination, and breakdown, and solve problems as they come up.

Represent Range Foundation warmly and professionally with donors, corporate partners, and institutional stakeholders.

What you bring:

A bachelor's degree in international development, nonprofit management, business, communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience

Strong project management skills and the ability to juggle multiple relationships and deadlines

Excellent writing skills and an eye for clear, engaging, on-brand messaging

Strong research and critical thinking skills, with the ability to turn data into clear reporting and recommendations

Polish and warmth in networking and high-stakes social settings

Attention to detail and a well-organized approach to your work

Comfort in a fast-paced, changing environment

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, and a willingness and ability to travel

A genuine passion for social impact, sustainability, and corporate social responsibility

Bonus points for:

1-3 years in charitable partnerships, grants management, CSR, philanthropy, or a related field

Experience with or knowledge of due diligence or vetting of nonprofit partners

Experience drafting or administering grant or partnership agreements

Visual content skills (graphics, social assets, presentation design), including Canva and HubSpot

Familiarity with social media platforms

Executing in-person and/or virtual fundraising campaigns

Experience coordinating group travel logistics

What we offer:

Competitive pay: $60,000-$75,000, based on skills, experience, education, and market factors

Pay-for-performance rewards: Incentive programs and compensation tied to business and individual performance

Career growth: The chance to build a new function and grow with it, with real room to make it your own

Fam trips: Opportunities to experience destinations, properties, and partner sites firsthand

RRSP matching: We help you invest in your future

3 weeks of vacation: Time to rest and recharge from day one
Comprehensive benefits package: Health and wellness coverage to support you and your family
Travel industry perks: Exclusive discounts and perks for your own travel through IATA

We provide a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. Employees have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and compensation tied to business and individual performance. The expected compensation range for this position is: $60,000 to $75,000. The actual compensation may vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.

We are committed to providing employment accommodation in accordance with the Ontario Human Rights Code and the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act. If you require accommodation due to a disability at any stage of our hiring process, please advise us when completing your application.

The Range Group may use artificial intelligence throughout the recruitment process to screen, assess or select applicants for this position. These tools assist our hiring team but do not replace human judgment. Final hiring decisions are ultimately made by humans.

We thank all candidates for their interest however only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
