About the company

Our client is pioneering conversational AI for customer service, building voice agents that help large organizations resolve customer conversations. Its product runs in production at enterprise scale, where engineering work is closely connected to real customer outcomes.

The role / why it matters

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will build across the product, from full-stack features to real-time voice and LLM-powered capabilities. You may also work directly with customer-facing teams to turn complex needs into reliable product improvements. This is a broad, hands-on role on a small, senior team where engineers own work end to end.

What you'll do

Build and ship full-stack product features for voice and conversational AI experiences.

Integrate speech recognition, text-to-speech, and language-model capabilities into production systems.

Work with product and machine learning partners to turn customer needs into scalable capabilities.

Improve latency, reliability, cost, and user experience across systems serving millions of users.

Contribute to developer experience, service reliability, and platform foundations.

Own multiple initiatives, learn quickly from production feedback, and support customer-facing engineering work as needed.

What we're looking for

5-8 years of software engineering experience, including senior-level ownership of full-stack products and software shipped to millions of users or interactions.

Strong hands-on experience in Python or TypeScript, with the ability to work across a full-stack product.

Practical experience building with large language models in production or in substantial applied projects.

Experience in developer experience, site reliability engineering, or platform engineering.

Working familiarity with relational databases, cloud environments, and continuous integration and delivery practices.

Shows initiative, takes ownership, and reflects on decisions to learn and improve how work gets done.

Bonus points

Experience with conversational AI, multi-turn agents, or tools such as LangChain.

Background in voice AI, telephony, or contact-center software.

Experience in a startup or high-growth product environment.

Compensation and benefits

Base salary range: $130,000-$190,000 USD, plus competitive equity.

Location / work model

Fully remote within the United States or Canada.

The team meets in person approximately every six weeks.
