What is the opportunity?

As the Senior Manager, Process Re-engineering, in Operations Process Engineering (OPE), you will report to the Director Operations Process Re-Engineering Practice & Optimization and play a pivotal role in RBC's Transformation & Enterprise Operations (TEO) team.

You will serve as a transformation leader and strategic orchestrator responsible for reimaging our operations processes at scale across Cash Services, Payments & Trade, and Finance Shared Services Operations centers. You will be accountable for leading large process re-engineering and AI-driven transformation initiatives from strategy through execution and sustained value realization, operating with strategic autonomy and minimal oversight. You will be accountable to drive measurable business outcomes on efficiency improvement, productivity gains, risk reduction, and digitization while building a solid practice in Process engineering, AI adoption, and continuous improvement.

What will you do?

Conduct deep, comprehensive current state process analysis across Cash Services, Payments & Trade, and Finance Shared Services operations to identify inefficiencies, operational gaps, and optimization opportunities.
Lead the identification and prioritization of re-engineering, automation, and AI transformation opportunities aligned to TEO/OPE strategic priorities and business outcomes and validate findings with key stakeholders.
Build rigorous business cases for AI/automation pilots and full-scale deployments with clear ROI projections, risk assessment, and sensitivity analysis.
Design innovative lean future state processes leveraging identified AI, automation, and re-engineering opportunities. Conduct iterative, collaborative redesign workshops with process owners, Ops Center SMEs, IT partners, Data teams, Risk/Compliance, Change Management, and Project Management.
Conduct feasibility analysis in partnership with IT/Enterprise Architecture teams to validate that proposed future state designs are technically achievable, data-ready, and operationally executable; assess integration points with enterprise systems, technology platforms, and data infrastructure.
Lead large-scale, cross-functional transformation programs from strategy through design and enable sustained value realization and project delivery.
Ensure large transformation initiatives are delivered within planned timelines and maintain focus on business outcomes and measurable results.
Establish and maintain enterprise-level process re-engineering capabilities, standards, and repeatable frameworks for large transformation delivery aligned with industry best practices.
Champion continuous improvement and innovation culture; foster experimentation mindset with emerging technologies and transformation methodologies.
Lead agile squads and cross-functional teams using collaborative, iterative delivery approaches that maximize team productivity and stakeholder engagement.
Build and maintain strong strategic relationships with cross-functional teams, Operations Centers, and Senior leadership.
Communicate complex transformation strategies, AI opportunities, current state findings, feasibility considerations, and outcomes to senior stakeholders with clarity and conviction.

What you need to succeed?

Must-Have:

5+ years of experience in process engineering, business transformation, or operations management in a large enterprise or financial services environment
Deep expertise in process design, value stream analysis, Lean/continuous improvement methodologies, and process optimization
Demonstrated experience leading large-scale transformation programs from strategy through execution and value realization
Strong understanding of AI, RPA, automation technologies, and their application to business process transformation
Proven ability to develop rigorous business cases with financial modeling, ROI analysis, and risk assessment
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with ability to work with complex operational data
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, influence senior stakeholders, and drive business improvements without formal authority; proven track record of leading with influence in matrix environments
Strong communication skills (written and oral) with ability to communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences
Proficiency with data analysis tools, process mapping software (e.g., Lucidchart), Excel, PowerPoint, and enterprise collaboration platforms
Proven results orientation with a demonstrated track record of driving measurable business outcomes and accountability for delivering enterprise impact
Experience working on large IT projects and managing complex technology integration; ability to partner effectively with IT/Enterprise Architecture teams on transformation delivery

Nice-to-Have:

Advanced Degree in Industrial Engineering, Business, Innovation or related field
Advanced Knowledge of financial services processes and banking operations
Experience in banking operations, transaction processing
Experience with emerging technologies (GenAI, AI Agents, workflow automation) and digital transformation
Experience leading agile squads or cross-functional teams using iterative delivery methodologies
