Since 1976, the Foundation has partnered with the Vancouver Police Department to support innovative programs that increase public safety, empower vulnerable populations, and build stronger, more connected communities. We've granted more than $14.5 million to nearly 300 community-focused initiatives.
Reporting directly to the Executive Director, you'll play an important, hands-on role in delivering fundraising initiatives, managing donor relationships, and helping advance the Foundation's mission.
What You'll Do

- Identify and cultivate prospective supporters, personally solicit gifts, and identify opportunities to increase giving.
- Support the implementation of fundraising plans and initiatives.
- Deliver thoughtful donor stewardship and recognition activities that strengthen long-term relationships.
- Prepare donor communications, proposals, impact reports, and presentations.
- Help coordinate donor appreciation events and fundraising activities.
- Maintain accurate donor records, track fundraising results, and support pipeline development using the Foundation's CRM.
- Collaborate closely with the Executive Director and colleagues on fundraising and community initiatives.
What You'll Bring
- At least three years of progressive fundraising experience, ideally including donor cultivation, stewardship, and direct solicitation.
- Demonstrated success building and maintaining donor relationships.
- Strong communication, writing, and organizational skills.
- Confidence working independently, taking initiative, and managing competing priorities.
- Experience with donor databases or CRM systems; DonorPerfect experience is an asset.
- A resourceful, collaborative approach and genuine enthusiasm for working on a small, hands-on team.
- An interest in community safety, policing, and public service in Vancouver.
Why Join Us?
- Meaningful Work: Support programs making a tangible difference in Vancouver.
- Room to Grow: Broaden your fundraising experience while working closely with the Executive Director.
- Small Team, Big Impact: Join a collaborative environment where your ideas are valued and your contributions matter.
- Competitive Compensation: $80,000–$90,000 annually, based on experience.
- Excellent Benefits: Extended health and dental coverage, four weeks' vacation, additional personal days, annual holiday closure, paid onsite parking, and access to gym facilities.
- Great Location: Work in the heart of Vancouver, close to transit, Granville Island, and Olympic Village.
