About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Data Center Technician for freelance/contract work in Halifax, Canada. This is an on-site position supporting mission-critical infrastructure at premier data center facilities.
Compensation
C$26-36/hr (CAD hourly)
Rates vary based on experience level and project complexity. Emergency and after-hours work may qualify for premium rates.

Responsibilities
Install, decommission, and migrate hardware; perform structured copper and fiber cabling, server racking and stacking, labeling, cross-connects, and patch panel work. Troubleshoot connectivity and hardware issues, document work with photos and detailed notes, and coordinate with remote NOC and client teams.
Requirements
Candidates should have data center or IT infrastructure experience and knowledge of server hardware and networking. They should be reliable, professional, communicate well, be near local data center facilities, and have a flexible schedule for on-call or emergency work.
