We are seeking an experienced Data Center Technician for freelance/contract work in Ottawa, Canada. This is an on-site position supporting mission-critical infrastructure at premier data center facilities.
Compensation
C$26-36/hr (CAD hourly)
Rates vary based on experience level and project complexity. Emergency and after-hours work may qualify for premium rates.

Responsibilities
Install, decommission, migrate, rack, stack, and label data center hardware, and perform copper and fiber cabling, cross-connects, and patch panel work. Troubleshoot hardware and connectivity issues, document completed work with photos and detailed notes, and coordinate with remote NOC and client teams.
Requirements
Candidates should have data center or IT infrastructure experience and knowledge of server hardware and networking. They should be reliable, professional communicators, live near local data center facilities, and be available for flexible scheduling, including on-call or emergency work.
