Role Description The Vehicle Advisor is a full-time, on-site role based at our Fredericton, NB location. In this position, the individual will guide customers through the vehicle selection process, listening carefully to their needs and recommending suitable pre-owned vehicles from our inventory. The Vehicle Advisor will explain inspection results, guarantees, pricing, and financing options clearly, ensuring customers understand the value and terms of their purchase. Day-to-day responsibilities include greeting and consulting with customers in the showroom, conducting test drives, coordinating with financing partners, preparing and reviewing sales documents, and maintaining accurate records in company systems. The role also involves following up with prospective and existing customers, supporting after-sale inquiries, and contributing to a customer-focused, non-commissioned sales environment.
Qualifications
- Customer service and relationship-building skills, with the ability to listen actively, ask clear questions, and understand individual needs.
- Sales, consultative advising, and negotiation skills, focused on helping customers make confident, informed decisions without pressure.
- Communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication and the ability to explain technical vehicle and financing information in everyday terms.
- Basic financial literacy and comfort discussing vehicle financing options, interest rates, and terms with customers.
- Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple customer interactions, documentation, and follow-ups efficiently.
- Proficiency with common computer applications and point-of-sale or CRM systems used for tracking leads and completing transactions.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record to facilitate test drives and vehicle demonstrations.
- Previous experience in automotive sales, retail, or customer-facing roles is an asset, though candidates with strong transferable skills are encouraged to apply.
- Ability to work on-site in Fredericton, NB, including evenings and weekends as required, and to collaborate effectively within a team-driven, non-commissioned environment.
