Our client, an employee-owned, multidisciplinary consulting firm, is seeking an Engineer/Project Manager (Municipal Infrastructure) for their GTA office. This is a permanent, full-time, hybrid position, with a base salary between $100-140k, or more, depending on experience, a competitive benefits and vacation package, including RRSP matching and discretionary bonus program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing multiple, small to large, multi-disciplinary municipal projects from proposal stage to delivery.
- Planning and managing project scope, budget, schedule, risk and resources
- Overseeing all engineering design and construction management (tendering, contract administration, inspection, etc.) tasks
- Project set up and closeout activities
- Tracking and reporting project progress to the client
- Ensuring that deliverables are completed to the client’s satisfaction
- Distributing/assigning work for the project and coordinating resources with Department Heads
- Preparation and review of reports and proposals
- Weekly review and approval of project related time and expenses
- Review and approval of monthly invoices
- Tracking and pursuing payment of invoices
Qualifications:
- 6+ years of experience in municipal, land development, water resources, structural or environmental engineering with exposure to public infrastructure projects.
- Experience working in a multidisciplinary setting
- P.Eng. or C.E.T. designation in Ontario (current or eligible)
- Project Manager Professional (PMP) designation is an asset
- Highly proactive with exceptional problem solving/analytical skills
- Strong proficiency in Windows Microsoft Office
- Excellent oral & written English skills
- Travel to project sites is usually limited but is required depending on project/client
- requirements.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and the ability/willingness to undergo security clearance checks

Responsibilities
Manage multidisciplinary municipal infrastructure projects from proposal through delivery, including scope, budgets, schedules, risks, resources, engineering design, and construction management. Coordinate project teams and client communications, oversee deliverables and project administration, and review time, expenses, invoices, reports, and proposals.
Requirements
Requires at least six years of relevant engineering experience, including exposure to public infrastructure projects, and experience in a multidisciplinary setting. Candidates must hold or be eligible for an Ontario P.Eng. or C.E.T. designation, have strong analytical, communication, and Microsoft Office skills, and possess a valid driver’s license; PMP certification is an asset.
