On-Going Opportunity - Intermediate Accountant

Recruitment Partners is continuously building our network of experienced Accounting professionals for upcoming opportunities with clients across Calgary. We work with organizations in energy, construction, manufacturing, transportation, professional services, distribution, and other sectors that are seeking skilled professionals who can step into full-cycle Accounting roles to make an immediate impact.

Your Success Will Be Defined By Your Ability To

• Manage full-cycle accounting activities, including AP, AR, journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and month-end close.
• Maintain general ledger integrity and prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reporting.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, controls, and reporting standards.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations, variance analysis, and investigate discrepancies to ensure financial accuracy.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, audit requirements, and year-end activities.
• Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and process improvements.
• Oversee product costing, cost analysis, pricing, and margin profitability to support business performance.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and reporting standards.
• Partner with operations, procurement, sales, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and provide financial insights and recommendations.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that streamline accounting processes and strengthen controls.
  
  

Your Strengths Include

• Intermediate to senior-level accounting professional with progressive full-cycle accounting experience.
• CPA designation in progress or nearing completion considered an asset.
• Strong background in transactional accounting, including AP, AR, reconciliations, and month-end activities.
• Exposure to financial reporting, year-end processes, and external audits.
• Strong analytical skills, advanced Excel proficiency, and experience with ERP systems.
• Self motivated and detail oriented attitude who is comfortable working in teams or as an individual contributor.
