Role Description The Catering Barista is a part-time, on-site role based in Toronto, ON, supporting mobile coffee cart services at events, weddings, pop-ups, and corporate functions. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and serving specialty coffee and matcha drinks, operating and maintaining espresso machines and related equipment, and setting up and breaking down the mobile bar and service area. The role involves engaging warmly with guests, answering questions about menu items, and ensuring a smooth, efficient service experience. The Catering Barista also assists with basic food preparation (where applicable), follows health and safety standards, and represents Red Bear Coffee Inc. with a professional, reliable, and service-oriented approach.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to create a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere for guests.
• Candidates should possess barista skills, including espresso-based drink preparation, milk steaming, and basic equipment care and troubleshooting.
• Candidates should possess clear communication skills to coordinate with event organizers, team members, and guests in fast-paced settings.
• Candidates should possess food preparation skills relevant to simple event offerings and adhere to food safety and hygiene standards.
• Previous experience in catering, events, or specialty coffee is an asset; comfort working on-site at varying locations and schedules is important.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift and move equipment safely, and work evenings and weekends as needed.
• Reliable transportation to event locations in Toronto and surrounding areas is beneficial.
