The Opportunity
Our client is an established contract manufacturer serving recognizable North American consumer brands and retailers. They are adding an early-career accounting professional to a busy, hands-on Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent accounting graduate or junior accountant who learns quickly, is strong with numbers and wants to build practical experience in a manufacturing business.
The position will focus primarily on accounts receivable and day-to-day accounting with occasional support to financial reporting and analysis. The position provides practical exposure to how Finance supports manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day accounting processes, reconciliations, accurate data entry and general ledger schedules.
- Support invoicing, cash applications, customer account reconciliations, receivables aging and follow-up on payment discrepancies.
- Assist with month-end close tasks, reporting schedules, account reconciliations and other accounting projects.
- Work with colleagues across Finance, Sales and Operations to resolve discrepancies and improve the reliability of information.
Qualifications
- University education in accounting, finance or a related discipline (completed or nearing completion).
- Up to 2 years of relevant accounting, bookkeeping, co-op or internship experience is helpful; motivated recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Solid accounting fundamentals, comfort with spreadsheets and the ability to learn an ERP system.
- Good Excel skills, including formulas, lookups and working with data; more advanced analysis is an asset.
- High accuracy, curiosity, good follow-through, strong communication and the confidence to ask questions when something does not add up.
Why consider it
Build hands-on manufacturing accounting experience, work with an experienced Finance team and broaden your skills over time. We value curiosity, reliability and sound fundamentals.
