Referment is working with a financial technology business that develops trade-surveillance software for leading financial institutions. Its platform uses sophisticated modelling to detect potential market manipulation within individual products and across related instruments.
The business is seeking someone with structuring or comparable markets expertise to join its professional services team. You will apply your understanding of fixed-income products, derivatives and risk sensitivities to customer demonstrations, proof-of-concept work and full implementations.
The role offers a blend of quantitative market analysis, technical delivery and customer engagement. You will analyse client trade data, help shape relevant surveillance use cases and undertake practical implementation work, while collaborating with sales and engineering teams.
The Role
- Work directly with customers to understand their trading activity, requirements and data.
- Apply derivatives and risk knowledge to customer presentations, demonstrations and proof-of-concept projects.
- Support onboarding and implementation for new institutional customers.
- Configure the system, run data batches and troubleshoot delivery issues.
- Write custom metrics and reports using the platform’s scripting capabilities.
- Coordinate with sales, engineering and other stakeholders to deliver customer work on schedule.
- Balance several customer needs while maintaining clear priorities and deadlines.
What We're Looking For
- Significant financial-markets experience, ideally from structuring, trading, risk or quantitative work.
- Strong knowledge of fixed income and derivatives.
- Deep practical understanding of sensitivities such as Delta, Gamma and DV01.
- Hands-on programming or scripting skills in SQL, Python, C# or a comparable language.
- The ability to translate complex market concepts into clear explanations for customers and colleagues.
- Strong interpersonal, organisational and project-delivery skills.
This could suit a structurer who wants to apply product and quantitative expertise in a more client-delivery-focused technology setting. Closely related trading, quantitative or market-risk backgrounds may also be relevant where the same fixed-income and derivatives depth is present.
