Business Application Support Coordinator

Human Services – Social Development, Planning and Partnerships

Status: 1 Regular Full Time

The Role:

You will be responsible for providing user administration and technical support services to internal and external users of Human Services business applications. This includes liaising with team members, internal partners, the province and vendors to ensure Human Services business applications operate as required.

Your major responsibilities include the following:

Provide tier 1 technical support to internal and external users of Human Services business applications.
Identify issues and ensure they are addressed in a timely manner, resolving or escalating to another team to address.
Liaise with team members, internal partners, the province, and vendors to ensure Human Services business applications operate as required.
Notify staff of issues affecting availability of Human Services business applications (planned and unplanned).
Maintain user administration of internal and external users of Human Services business applications.
Act as Local Registration Authority (LRA), managing user administration for provincial ministry applications.
Coordinate / perform functional testing for changes to an application or its infrastructure.
Interpret, produce, and present work-related documents and information effectively and accurately and participate in their ongoing maintenance (e.g. user documentation and training materials).
Distribution and tracking initiation of incoming client requests for support by the team.
Maintain current knowledge of technologies and business procedures required to support clients.

What the role requires:

Completion of a 2-year college diploma in an information technology support services program.
A minimum of 2 years experience in a related field.
Proficiency in Windows operating systems, MS-Office applications, ticket tracking tools.
Ability to travel and access to reliable transportation

Skills/Abilities:

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to determine appropriate course of action and solutions to business application related issues to minimize disruption to internal and external clients.
Excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) to provide user support and liaise with appropriate contacts.
Ability to collect and analyze information related to issues to identify possible trends and provide recommendations on actions to reduce or prevent reoccurrence.
Project coordination skills for testing and implementation of new technology. Ability to obtain consensus and influence the decision making of others.
Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to learn, retain and adjust priorities to meet the needs of a continuously changing environment.
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with continuously changing priorities.

Work Mode & Job Location: In this role, you’ll benefit from the flexibility of a hybrid work arrangement that prioritizes meaningful in-person connection. A minimum of two days per week on-site is expected, with additional in-person presence as operational needs evolve.
