Hire Range: $62,902 – $70,765 per annum plus Contract Benefits

The Long-Term Care Division is committed to delivering person-centred care through the Butterfly Model of Care, promoting emotional well-being and enhancing quality of life for residents and their families.
You will play a key role in supporting employee success across our Long-Term Care homes by coordinating orientation and training programs that help build a knowledgeable, confident, and engaged workforce. Working closely with Human Resources, leaders, educators, and staff, you will support onboarding, training administration, learning compliance, and record management to ensure employees have the tools and resources they need to provide exceptional care and service.
What You'll Do:
Training & Orientation Coordination:
- Coordinate and ensure data entry for all new, returning, and terminated users within the Learning Management System (LMS)
- Coordinate centralized and home-level orientation for new hires, volunteers, and students in collaboration with Human Resources, Training & Orientation Specialists, and hiring supervisors
- Prepare, update, and distribute orientation packages and onboarding information for new hires, volunteers, and students
- Support the collection and distribution of new hire paperwork and orientation checklists
- Track completion of all training and orientation delivered by the Training & Orientation Specialists
- Assist with annual updates to orientation checklists and training materials
Scheduling, Reporting & Administrative Support:
- Create and maintain the Training & Orientation team's centralized calendar
- Track and support the generation of monthly reporting to monitor compliance rates and legislative requirements
- Coordinate planning and logistics for mandatory annual Long-Term Care education sessions, including room bookings, equipment, and training materials
- Coordinate training activities by arranging internal and external venues and refreshments as required
- Prepare and distribute agendas and minutes for standing and ad hoc committees as required
- Maintain accurate training records and reporting data
Program Support:
- Assist Training & Orientation Specialists with the coordination and placement of community college students
- Provide administrative support to training initiatives and special projects
- Provide back-up administrative support within the Long-Term Care Division as required
What You Bring to the Role:
Education & Experience:
- College Diploma in Business Administration
- Two (2) years of program support experience
- An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will also be considered
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with changing priorities
- Strong judgment, tact, and discretion in preparing, disclosing, and handling confidential and sensitive information
- Self-motivated and able to act on own initiative, within the scope of the position's responsibilities, using good judgment and discretion
- Superior attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills

Successful candidates hired to work within any of the Region of Peel's Long-Term Care Homes are required to provide:
- Vulnerable Sector Police Check
- TB Skin Testing

Work Mode & Location:
This role offers a hybrid work arrangement with a minimum of two (2) days per week on-site at 10 Peel Centre Drive Brampton and the 5 Long Term Care centres in Mississauga, Brampton and Bolton. Additional on-site presence may be required based on operational needs
