Chief Estimator - ICI Renovations
Comp: $130,000–$150,000
Location: GTA
Role: Lead all precon estimating for industrial, commercial & institutional renovation projects ($1M–$10M+). Own pricing strategy, risk, and team mentorship to win profitable work.
You’ll do
- Build budgets, hard bids, GMP/CM proposals
- Lead site walks; de-risk existing conditions, phasing, shutdowns, ICRA/hoarding
- Perform/review take-offs; set unit rates, markups, contingencies
- Drive subtrade coverage and bid leveling (MEP, interiors, abatement)
- Present value options; coordinate with BD/PM on submissions
- Standardize templates, coach estimators, manage cost database
You bring
- 10+ yrs estimating in ICI renovations
- Wins in lump sum, GMP & CM; strong subtrade network
- Tools: Bluebeam, OST/PlanSwift/Sage; solid Excel; Procore familiarity
- Knowledge of CCDC, Ontario procurement, change-order pricing
- Diploma/degree (CET/B.Tech/B.Eng.); GSC/PQS/CEP a plus

Requirements
Requires 10+ years of estimating experience in ICI renovations, a strong subtrade network, and a record of winning lump-sum, GMP, and CM work. Candidates should be proficient with estimating tools and Excel, familiar with Procore, CCDC, Ontario procurement, and change-order pricing, and have a diploma or degree; GSC, PQS, or CEP credentials are a plus.
