Original job description

About us

Resilience Security Solutions (RSS) is a licensed security and private investigation firm based in Kitchener. A Certified Fraud Examiner leads the firm, and we work in three areas: Security, Investigations and Training. Our security division is growing, and we’re building a team of reliable licensed guards we can call on for client assignments.

What you’ll do

Control who comes and goes, and keep sites secure at commercial, residential and event locations
Do foot or mobile patrols, and report hazards, damage and suspicious activity
Write clear, accurate incident reports and daily logs
Deal with clients, staff and the public in a professional, courteous way
Respond to incidents and follow site instructions and emergency procedures

What you need

A valid Ontario Security Guard licence under the PSISA (you must already hold it when hired)
Availability for flexible shifts, including some evenings, overnights, weekends and holidays
Good written and spoken English for report writing
Reliable transportation to get to sites in the region
Legally entitled to work in Canada

Assets

Standard First Aid and CPR
A G-class driver’s licence
Event, retail, construction-site or loss-prevention experience
Other languages. French is an asset.

What we offer

Flexible scheduling that fits around school, another job or other commitments
Free uniform
A chance to continue your career in the private security and private investigation sectors

How to apply

Apply through this posting with your resume and a copy of your security guard licence.

This posting builds a pool of on-call guards for upcoming client assignments. It is not for one specific existing vacancy. We do not use artificial intelligence to screen, assess, or select applicants. RSS is an equal opportunity employer. If you need an accommodation at any stage of hiring, tell us and we’ll work with you.
