Senior QA Automation Engineer (Tosca/SAP)

Our client is seeking a contract based Senior Test Automation Developer with strong expertise in Tricentis Tosca and SAP application testing to support enterprise application quality assurance and automation initiatives.

Duration: 6 months

Location: Toronto (once every other week)

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using Tricentis Tosca.
• Develop and enhance test automation frameworks supporting SAP applications and integrated enterprise systems.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing across SAP business processes.
• Build reusable, scalable, and maintainable automated test components.
• Analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and technical designs to develop comprehensive test scenarios.
• Automate complex SAP workflows involving multiple modules and system integrations.
• Identify, investigate, and troubleshoot automation failures, application defects, and testing environment issues.
• Collaborate with SAP functional consultants, developers, business analysts, and QA teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Support test planning, execution, defect management, and reporting activities.
• Identify opportunities to improve test automation coverage, reliability, and execution efficiency.
• Provide technical guidance and best practices for Tosca automation development.
• Participate in key project meetings, technical discussions, and testing reviews.

Required Qualifications

• Senior-level experience in software quality assurance and test automation development.
• Strong hands-on experience with Tricentis Tosca, including test case design, automation development, execution, and maintenance.
• Demonstrated experience testing SAP enterprise applications, including end-to-end business processes.
• Strong understanding of Tosca’s model-based test automation capabilities.
• Experience building reusable test components and maintaining enterprise-scale automation suites.
• Experience with functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex automation issues independently.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, defect management, and QA best practices.
• Experience working within Agile or hybrid software delivery environments.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams and business stakeholders.
• Minimum five consecutive years of full-time professional work experience in Canada.
• Ability to attend occasional onsite meetings within the GTA or Pickering as required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience testing SAP S/4HANA and/or SAP ECC environments.
• Experience automating SAP GUI, SAP Fiori, and web-based applications using Tosca.
• Familiarity with SAP modules such as FI/CO, MM, SD, or other enterprise business processes.
• Experience with Tricentis Tosca TestCase Design, ExecutionLists, Modules, and reusable test components.
• Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with SAP application modernization, migration, or transformation projects.
• Tricentis Tosca certifications.
• Experience mentoring QA automation developers or providing technical leadership.
• Previous experience working in large enterprise environments with complex system integrations.
