Our client is seeking a contract-based ServiceNow Subject Matter Expert to advise on the implementation of ServiceNow Vault capabilities (Code Signing, Data Discovery and Data Anonymization) and to strengthen platform security and access governance.

Acting as a trusted advisor to the ServiceNow platform team, the consultant will assess the current Vault implementation, define target-state patterns and standards, validate the approach through a proof of concept, and support the team through go-live, stabilization and knowledge transfer.

Duration: Till March 31, 2027 (option to extend)

Location: Hybrid – Ottawa ideally, may consider remote

Security Clearance: Enhanced Reliability or Secret (or eligible: 5+ years residency in Canada)

Responsibilities

  • Assess the current ServiceNow Vault implementation, including Adaptive Access and Field Level Encryption, and identify improvements
  • Define the target-state architecture, governance model and operating approach for Code Signing, Data Discovery and Data Anonymization
  • Develop reusable implementation patterns, standards and onboarding guidance for the platform team
  • Build and validate a proof of concept in a sandbox environment
  • Produce a gap analysis and phased implementation roadmap
  • Provide advisory support through implementation, go-live and stabilization, including design reviews and troubleshooting
  • Assess ServiceNow access governance and privileged roles, and help define a Privileged Access Standard aligned with least-privilege principles
  • Run a production readiness assessment and deliver knowledge transfer sessions

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of ServiceNow platform experience, with a focus on platform and application security
  • Hands-on experience designing and implementing ServiceNow Vault
  • Code Signing strategy, governance and implementation patterns
  • Data Discovery and sensitive data identification practices
  • Data Anonymization and non-production data management
  • ServiceNow identity and access management and secure platform practices
  • Understanding of security, compliance and risk management considerations
  • Strong troubleshooting, documentation and knowledge transfer skills

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with one or more of the following is an asset:

  • ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect (CTA) or Certified Master Architect (CMA)
  • ServiceNow Adaptive Access and Field Level Encryption
  • Privileged Access Management (PAM) programs
  • ServiceNow platform architecture and operational best practices

Nice-to-Have Experience

  • Public sector or broader public sector experience
  • Bilingual in English and French
