We are opening a unique opportunity for a Rendering Engineer Intern to join the Apex Legends team based in Vancouver!
You will work with some of the brightest engineers in games to build the tools, workflows, and runtime used to create amazing graphics for Apex Legends. This may include implementing rendering features, fixing bugs, and coding optimizations.
We are looking for someone who contributes to a culture of healthy team morale and accepts constructive feedback. Someone excited to create solutions and features for our passionate players and artists, working in both high-level and low-level technical systems. Someone ready to devote themselves to learning and growing.
You will report to the rendering team's Tech Lead and learn and work with your peers on specific tasks.
Responsibilities
- Help us develop high-quality rendering tools and systems for Apex Legends
- Collaborate with artists and other engineers to provide effective art and content workflows
- Work on performance profiling and optimization on PC and Consoles
Qualifications
- Working towards a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related academic programme
- Real-time computer graphics knowledge
- Shader and C++ coding
- Some experience with Modern Graphics APIs (DX12, Vulkan, Metal)
- Knowledge of profiling and optimization
- Experience working in collaborative environments
You must be available for a full-time paid internship in the summer of 2027.
At this time, we are considering Undergrad students who will be enrolled in an accredited degree program in the summer of 2027, slated to graduate no earlier than December 2027. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada on a full-time basis during the 16-week internship. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Pay Transparency - North America
- British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) *$65,000 - $70,000 CAD
