Original job description

At Rethink, our promise to you is that you will do the best work of your career. In order to do that, we’ll create and promote an environment where people are happy, inspired and empowered. We back that promise by committing to remain an independent creative agency. So if you’re ready to do the best work of your career while having fun, then read on.

We are always looking for high-energy, ambitious, and genuine people to join Rethink. Rethinkers are people who are interested and interesting, relentless, responsible, and respectful. They're the kind of people you would want to hang out with and be inspired by.

Rethinkers don’t settle – we have a visceral discomfort with the status quo – as a result we’re constantly challenging, learning, growing and enthusiastically ambitious to make things better.

The Data Analyst is responsible for tracking, analyzing, and translating General Motors' social data into actionable performance narratives and optimizations. They will establish measurement framework standards, monitor community sentiment, and measure business impact across campaigns.

The Opportunity

Analytics, Measurement & Reporting

Deliver regular project-based performance reporting across all brands (weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports).
Track and evaluate the performance of boosted paid social content to inform future media and strategy decisions.
Build custom analytics dashboards and campaign wrap decks to prove ROI to client stakeholders.

Social Listening & Insight Generation

Conduct social listening to track audience sentiment, brand health, and emerging conversations.
Identify real-time community engagement trends and flag potential brand risks alongside the community management team.

Agency & Client Collaboration

Collaborate with client and agency partner teams to share quarterly content performance presentations.
Provide data-backed recommendations to refine publishing calendars, posting cadences, and creative formats.

What you’ll bring:

2-4 years of data analytics experience with a strong focus on social media channels and digital marketing metrics.
Proficiency in social listening, analytics tools, and reporting platforms (e.g., Brandwatch, Meltwater, Sprout Social, Native Platform Analytics).
High analytical acumen with an ability to translate raw numbers into compelling strategic narratives.

Native fluency in French and English with deep knowledge of Quebec culture.

The Benefits

Competitive compensation and benefits, including added mental health benefits
Variety of employee perks
Great work culture
No client meeting Mondays
Hybrid work environment
Access to Rethink’s national DE&I committee and working groups
Growth and training opportunities

Location: 720 King St. West, Toronto, ON Vacancy status: This posting is for an existing vacancy Salary: $65K - $70K per year. Final compensation will be based on a candidate's experience, skills, scope of responsibility, internal equity, and business needs.

We truly appreciate everyone’s interest but only those selected for an interview will be contacted.

Rethink is committed to creating and maintaining an inclusive, equitable and accessible workplace. We welcome and encourage applications from all intersections. Accommodations are available, upon request, to all selected candidates during any stage of the recruitment process.
