Job Summary:

As a key member of REV’s Customer Origination and Development group, you will develop actionable market insights and be part of the team that secures long-term offtake contracts for REV’s portfolio of development projects.

With a natural curiosity, and a drive to understand how the pieces of the puzzle fit together, you synthesize and analyze data from disparate sources on a wide variety of topics, enabling the Origination team and company to gain a better understanding of customer needs, market conditions and project competitiveness.

You are a collaborative multi-tasker able to integrate perspectives from internal experts, external consultants, AI, potential customers and your extended network.

You keep up to date with changing market conditions and rules, evolving customer needs (utilities, C&I, data centers and others), interconnection queues and other factors impacting the demand and supply of generation and storage resources.

You craft customer presentations and competitive RFP responses, and work as part of the team to present the customer story, competitive positioning, commercial structure, contract terms, and recommended bidding strategy to Sr Management.

This role requires a self-starter who thinks commercially, can adapt to change, and brings an ownership mindset to assessing commercial opportunities.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Support REV Renewables commercial objectives of developing and growing a portfolio of utility-scale energy generation and storage assets
Perform analysis of opportunities and preparation of customer proposals working with and coordinating inputs from teams of internal and external professionals including project development, finance, energy marketing, credit, legal, engineering, strategy, interconnection, market forecasting and basis congestion consultants
Assess attractiveness of projects relative to competitors in the marketplace
Lead the preparation and submission of responses and presentations to offtake customers and proactively manage new solicitations and requests for proposals. Understand and effectively communicate customer needs, market conditions, and contract terms (PPAs, EAPAs, tolling agreements, RECs and capacity contracts)
Keep up to date with consultant’s evolving power market forecasts, analyze changes, and effectively communicate the changes and underlying story to the team
Proactively research upcoming utility customer integrated resource plans, settlement agreements, and datacenter and other customer growth plans
Support customer origination outreach and partnership opportunities with clean energy buyers including datacenters, C&I, utilities and other brokers/consultants
Contribute to senior management special projects, support energy offtake contract negotiations, and project finance requests

Required Education/Skills/Knowledge:

Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Economics, Marketing, Business, Engineering or a related field
Minimum of 7-10 years of relevant professional experience, with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in origination, electricity markets, development or power generation
Knowledge of US power markets, PJM, MISO, SPP, CAISO is an asset
Experience with commercialization of utility-scale energy projects, particularly in PJM or MISO states is preferred
Demonstrated analytical skills and commercial acumen with the ability to adapt to working in an entrepreneurial organization
Strong self-motivation, resilience and ability to work independently, with experience overseeing multiple projects proposals simultaneously
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership
Proficiency with software tools including Excel, AI, Python, PowerPoint

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

Must be able to sit/stand at a desk, using a computer workstation
Ability to balance effective time management skills, and adapt to changing priorities
Must be able to handle long periods of screen time, with some on-camera meetings
Must be able to travel to the US
Employee will be required to occasionally travel, or attend meetings outside of regular work hours
