Position Summary

We are seeking a hands-on Senior Accountant to support the corporate accounting and financial reporting function while contributing to the ongoing transformation of finance processes.

Reporting to the Manager, Accounting & Consolidation, this role is responsible for preparing month-end close activities, reconciliations, consolidations, financial analysis, and audit support. The ideal candidate is a CPA who thrives in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment and enjoys improving processes while maintaining a high level of accuracy and accountability.

This position offers broad exposure across the accounting cycle, including financial reporting, process improvement, finance transformation initiatives, and acquisitions and integrations.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Close & Reporting

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.
Assist in the preparation of consolidated financial results and supporting analyses.
Prepare variance analyses and investigate fluctuations to support management reporting.
Prepare and maintain audit-ready workpapers, reconciliations, and account supporting schedules in compliance with accounting policies and internal controls.
Act as a trusted resource for accounting questions and process guidance.

Reconciliations & Controls

Perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations and resolve outstanding items promptly.
Monitor account activity and identify unusual transactions or risks.
Support the execution and documentation of accounting controls.
Assist with the implementation and enhancement of accounting policies and procedures.

Financial Analysis

Conduct financial and operational analyses to support decision-making.
Provide insights on trends, variances, and key business drivers.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting activities as required.

Process Improvement & Transformation

Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, standardize processes, and reduce manual effort.
Contribute to finance transformation projects, including system implementations, acquisitions, integrations, and process redesign efforts.
Assist in documenting processes and establishing best practices across the organization.

Qualifications

CPA designation
3-7 years of progressive accounting or financial reporting experience.
Strong understanding of IFRS and general accounting principles.
Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, financial reporting, and financial analysis.
Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with ERP systems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Ce poste offre une vaste exposition à l’ensemble du cycle comptable, notamment à l’information financière, à l’amélioration des processus, aux initiatives de transformation de la fonction finance ainsi qu’aux acquisitions et aux intégrations.

Principales responsabilités

Clôture financière et information financière

Préparer les activités de clôture mensuelle, trimestrielle et annuelle.
Participer à la préparation des résultats financiers consolidés et des analyses connexes.
Préparer des analyses des écarts et examiner les variations afin de soutenir les rapports de gestion.

Préparer et tenir à jour les dossiers de travail, les conciliations et les tableaux justificatifs des comptes afin qu’ils soient prêts pour l’audit et conformes aux politiques comptables et aux contrôles internes.

Agir comme personne-ressource de confiance pour les questions comptables et l’orientation relative aux processus.

Conciliations et contrôles

Effectuer des conciliations des comptes du bilan et régler rapidement les éléments en suspens.
Surveiller l’activité des comptes et repérer les transactions inhabituelles ou les risques.
Soutenir l’exécution et la documentation des contrôles comptables.
Participer à la mise en œuvre et à l’amélioration des politiques et procédures comptables.

Analyse financière

Réaliser des analyses financières et opérationnelles afin de soutenir la prise de décision.
Fournir des perspectives sur les tendances, les écarts et les principaux facteurs opérationnels.
Soutenir, au besoin, les activités de budgétisation, de prévision et de rapports de gestion.

Amélioration des processus et transformation

Repérer les occasions d’accroître l’efficacité, de normaliser les processus et de réduire les efforts manuels.
Contribuer aux projets de transformation de la fonction finance, notamment les mises en œuvre de systèmes, les acquisitions, les intégrations et la refonte des processus.
Participer à la documentation des processus et à l’établissement de pratiques exemplaires au sein de l’organisation.

Qualifications

Titre de CPA

De 3 à 7 ans d’expérience progressive en comptabilité ou en information financière.
Solide connaissance des IFRS et des principes comptables généraux.
Expérience en clôture de fin de mois, conciliations, information financière et analyse financière.
Maîtrise avancée d’Excel et bonne connaissance des systèmes ERP.
Solides capacités d’analyse et de résolution de problèmes, avec un grand souci du détail.
Excellentes aptitudes en communication et en organisation.
Capacité à gérer plusieurs priorités dans un environnement dynamique et en évolution.
Esprit d’initiative démontré et engagement envers l’amélioration continue.
