About the Role

ReVisionz is looking for a VP, Business Development to grow our business with owner-operators across North America. Reporting to the Partner, Sales, you will open new accounts and expand existing ones across our full portfolio of digital asset enablement solutions: systems integration, data and AI solutions, consulting and managed services. Prospecting and building a qualified pipeline is your first priority, and you’ll spend much of your time in the field, meeting executives face to face.

This is a senior individual contributor role with no direct reports, but there is substantial opportunity for advancement. You’ll be well supported by a strong sales function (including a robust marketing arm), peers, delivery leads and management. If you’ve worked in or around our services area, whether in sales, consulting or senior operations, engineering or capital project roles, and you see this as your next career move, we’d like to hear from you.

What You’ll Do

  • Build your pipeline: Drive consistent outbound activity, including calls, meetings, LinkedIn and email outreach, to grow a qualified pipeline of new opportunities.
  • Map target accounts: Identify target owner-operators and map their stakeholders, initiatives and buying triggers.
  • Grow named accounts: Develop and execute strategic account plans for assigned accounts that cross-sell all ReVisionz solutions.
  • Lead discovery: Uncover each client’s business problems and corporate initiatives, and build business cases that create demand.
  • Shape solutions: Work with ReVisionz practice leads to tailor assessments, roadmaps, software implementations and managed services.
  • Win the work: Lead proposals, RFP responses and negotiations through to signed statements of work.
  • Be visible in the market: Represent ReVisionz at industry events, conferences and association chapters, and generate warm introductions through technology partners, alumni and existing clients.
  • Partner across the firm: Collaborate with marketing on case studies and campaigns, keep the CRM accurate and current, and ensure clean handoffs to delivery.

What You Bring

  • 8+ years of relevant experience, including exposure to industry priorities such as digital transformation, operational excellence, capital project execution, engineering and asset information, intelligent asset management, and data and AI.
  • An established network at owner-operators in industries such as oil & gas, chemicals, mining, power generation, food & beverage, manufacturing or industrial construction, and the ability to open doors quickly with operations, engineering, capital project and IT executives.
  • A record of opening new accounts and securing services engagements, programs or complex projects.
  • A consultative selling approach that positions ReVisionz as a trusted, software-agnostic advisor and systems integrator, with confidence negotiating time-and-materials and fixed-fee services work.
  • Persistence through 6–18 month, multi-stakeholder sales cycles, paired with the judgment to know when to walk away.
  • A natural connector’s energy for meeting new people and an entrepreneurial, ownership mindset.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, CRM tools and commercial AI tools.
  • Candidates must reside in the Houston, Texas or Calgary, Alberta area and be legally entitled to work in the United States or Canada. ReVisionz is not sponsoring work visas for this role.
