Reporting directly to the Inventory Control Supervisor this existing role as Inventory Control Analyst is responsible for consistently delivering a high level of service, ensuring HRIS data integrity, payroll accuracy, and compliance with collective agreements and applicable legislation.
What You Will Be Doing
- Partner with business stakeholders to identify inventory reporting, analysis, and operational support requirements, and provide insights to support inventory management and business decision-making.
- Prepare, maintain, and analyze inventory reports, metrics, and key performance indicators, including inventory performance, inventory accuracy, and shrink trends, identifying risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and completeness of inventory data through ongoing review, validation, analysis, and investigation of inventory discrepancies, variances, and operational issues.
- Support period-end and year-end inventory accounting activities, including inventory-related reconciliations, journal entries, provisions, accruals, and financial analysis.
- Support process improvement initiatives that enhance inventory controls, reporting efficiency, data integrity, and operational effectiveness.
- Prepare inventory GL entries, as the need arises.
- Provide support to Supervisor and Director on special projects and charters, as requested.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support Rexall Pharmacy Group ULC.
How Will You Succeed
- Post-secondary degree in Business Administration (University preferred)
- 3-4 years’ experience in an inventory accounting or similar reporting/analysis role
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Experience using inventory, accounting, and reporting systems such as JDA, BlackLine, Spreadsheet Server, or similar applications
- Excellent data entry skills.
- Excellent organization skills.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and investigation skills
