Job Description

We are currently seeking a Divisional Sales Manager to become an integral part of our Mississauga location.

Reporting to the General Manager, the Divisional Sales Manager will manage the sales organization for the Nedco Ontario Division. Working closely with management, they will ensure consistent, profitable growth in sales revenues through positive planning, deployment and management of sales team. The individual will identify objectives, strategies and action plans to improve short and long-term sales and earnings while building strategic relationships with key customers so as to leverage customer engagement and loyalty. The Divisional Sales Manager will:

Develop trusted relationships with internal team members, key accounts, customer stakeholders and executive sponsors and suppliers.
Manage customer engagement with CRM tools for maximum efficiency and visibility and with carefully executed follow-up for closure on open issues.
Lead our business to achieve financial success and also communicate accurate forecast and performance information.
Design and implement sales plans that expand on Nedco’s customer base and further penetrate existing accounts.
Analyze the market to identify trends, new products and competitive focus.
Build a dynamic team culture focused on success and positive growth.
Negotiate contracts and agreements to drive maximum value for both our clients and for Nedco.
Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives.
Assist sales personnel in establishing personal contact and rapport with top echelon decision-makers.
Collaborate with divisional and regional management to develop sales strategies to improve market share in all product lines.
Interpret short and long-term effects on sales strategies in operating profit.
Educate sales team by establishing programs/seminars in the areas of new account sales and growth, sales of emerging products and multi-product sales, profitability, improved presentation strategies, competitive strategies, proper use and level of sales support, management of expenses and business/financial issues on contracts.
Collaborate closely with other departments to establish and control budgets for sales promotion and trade show expenses.
Review expenses and recommend solutions.

Qualifications

A minimum of 5 years of related experience in a sales leadership capacity.
A proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
The ability to communicate, present and effectively influence at all levels of the organization.
Strong business acumen and electrical distribution industry expertise.
Excellent mentoring, coaching and leadership skills.
Ability to build strategic partnerships and identify potential sales opportunities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proven expertise in constructing and delivering formal presentations, business plans and marketing strategies.
Computer literacy – proficient with all Microsoft Office and familiarity with the AS400.

Additional Information

The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is CAD 100000 – 140000. Final compensation within this range will be determined by factors such as relevant experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity. This range does not include variable pay or other components of Rexel’s total rewards package.
