Original job description

RFA Bank of Canada is seeking an exceptional leader to serve as its next President & Chief Executive Officer. A federally regulated Schedule I bank and a core operating subsidiary of RFA Financial Group, the Bank is entering an exciting period of growth, transformation, and opportunity. With strong shareholder support, a differentiated market position, and ambitious plans to expand its lending platform, enhance operational capabilities, and pursue strategic growth initiatives, the Bank is poised for its next stage of evolution. Reporting to the RFA Bank of Canada Board of Directors, the President & CEO will lead the development and execution of the Bank's strategic priorities while ensuring continued excellence in governance, risk management, and regulatory compliance.

The successful candidate will work closely with the RFA Bank of Canada Board and RFA Financial CEO, Ben Rodney, to translate enterprise priorities into a banking strategy and execution roadmap that supports growth while maintaining the Bank's safety, soundness, and regulatory obligations. The successful incumbent will lead a high-performing organization through a period of growth and modernization, advancing operational scalability, fostering collaboration across the broader RFA platform, and positioning the Bank to capitalize on future opportunities. This role requires an executive who can balance commercial ambition with prudent risk management, bringing the judgment, discipline, and credibility necessary to operate effectively within a highly regulated environment while delivering meaningful business results.

The ideal candidate is an accomplished financial services executive with experience leading growth, transformation, and complex operating environments, including scaling businesses, expanding platforms, or driving significant organizational change. Equally important, they will be a collaborative, humble leader who inspires confidence, builds strong relationships with regulators, directors, employees, and business partners, and fosters a culture of accountability, performance, and integrity. This is a rare opportunity to lead a growing Canadian bank and play a key role in shaping the future of one of the country's most dynamic financial services organizations.

To fill this position, RFA Bank has partnered with leadership advisory firm Odgers. Applications are encouraged immediately and should be submitted online at https://careers.odgers.com/en-ca/32212
