Original job description

Account Executive
Full-Time · Fully Remote

Looking for a place to launch your sales career, not just land a job? At RhythmQ, you don't need years of closing experience to become an Account Executive. You need drive, curiosity and a willingness to learn. Every AE here starts with our BDR training program, where you'll learn our customers, our market and how we sell, with real coaching along the way. Prove yourself and you can take your AE seat in as little as 45 days, at a company that's grown over 5x in the last 3 years.

Care about selling a great product? Check out our customer reviews on Capterra and G2!

Tip for applicants: We get 100's of applicants. Great Sales People find creative ways to get their names on the calendars of those they look to speak to. We accept calls from applicants!

WHY YOU'LL LOVE THIS ROLE

Your Path to the AE Seat
Step 1: Pass Onboarding. Learn our customers, the RQ Platform and our sales process.
Step 2: Complete BDR Training. Prospect and qualify to learn our market.
Step 3: Take Your AE Seat. Own your pipeline in as little as 45 days.

Why We Start With BDR Training
• We won't hand you a laptop and a list of accounts. You'll start by prospecting and qualifying in our market, so by your first demo you understand our buyers, their programs and the problems we solve
• AEs who have done the prospecting close with more confidence, and you'll know exactly what the bar is to move into your seat from day one

Growth and Impact
• Sell a platform that helps some of the biggest associations and non-profits in the world run programs that change lives
• Join a fast-growing sales team where your results are seen, and the pace of your move into the AE seat is up to you

Compensation & Benefits
• $50,000–$60,000 base salary with an $80,000–$90,000 OTE, uncapped with accelerators
• 3 weeks vacation to start, plus a Mac and the accessories to set up your workspace
• Industry-leading selling tools: Apollo, Avoma, Leadfeeder and AI prospecting

ABOUT THE ROLE

RhythmQ builds the RQ Platform, a cloud-based, all-in-one application and review management system used by organizations that run grants, scholarships, fellowships and awards programs. Our customers include some of the biggest associations and non-profits in the world, doing truly meaningful work. Don't take our word for it.

As an Account Executive, you'll own the sales process from first meeting to signed contract. You'll run discovery and demos, build proposals that fit each customer's program, and close new business. You'll start in BDR training so you know our market inside and out before you take over your own pipeline.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

BDR Training (your first phase, in as little as 45 days)
• Research and identify potential customers, then connect through cold calls and cold emails
• Qualify prospects for fit and readiness, and book meetings for the AE team
• Shadow AEs on discovery calls and demos to learn how we sell

Running the Sales Process (once you take your AE seat)
• Lead discovery calls and tailored demos of the RQ Platform
• Build proposals and pricing, handle objections and negotiate to close

Pipeline and Forecasting
• Manage your pipeline and keep the CRM current so every deal has accurate next steps
• Forecast your deals accurately and hit your quarterly targets

Customer Handoff and Growth
• Partner with Customer Success for a smooth handoff so every new customer starts strong
• Share what you hear from prospects with Marketing and Product to sharpen our messaging

WHO YOU ARE

Experience
• 1–2 years of experience in software is an asset
• 1–2 years of sales experience is an asset
• 1–2 years of experience in hospitality is an asset
• 1 year of experience using AI tools is an asset
• Strong communicator who can run a confident call and a clear demo

How You Work
• You're coachable. You see BDR training as an edge, take feedback and apply it quickly
• You're resilient. A "no" doesn't slow you down, and you stay consistent with your outreach
• You're organized and curious. You manage a busy pipeline and ask the questions that uncover real needs
