Position Overview
We are seeking an individual to join our team in our Victoria office. As an Associate, the incumbent will contribute to growing the business by supporting the 3 Investment Advisors, ensuring high-level client service, and providing dedicated specialized administrative support on diverse assignments. This position works directly with the Associate Team Coordinator.

Duties and Responsibilities
Investment Advisor Support:
· Assist with the professional servicing of incoming telephone and email contacts from clients, Advisors and other internal and external partners
· Prepare, analyze, and present reports and recommendations for clients including investment policy statements, portfolio evaluations, financial plans, retirement projections, client commentaries/reviews and investment proposals
· Manage the execution of transactions on behalf of the Advisor
· Monitor portfolios and daily trading activity for the team
· Ongoing review and updating of Client Profiles
Client Service:
· Provide a high level of client service which includes responding to phone, mail and electronic enquiries based on knowledge of full-service wealth advisory practice
· Provide gold standard client service anticipating client needs and delivering proactive and quality communications to ensure clients are apprised of details related to their accounts
Administration:
· Familiarize and adhere to compliance requirements, including all aspects of new and existing account documentation and marketing materials to maintain a culture and operation of risk management
Qualifications
· Minimum 3 years’ experience in the financial services industry
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
· Strong organizational skills
· Ability to take initiative and work independently
· Understanding of industry compliance regulations
· Strict attention to detail
· The ability to multi-task
· Excellent organizational and time management skills
· Ability to quickly learn new technologies and programs
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
· Experience with Client Relationship Management systems such as Maximizer or Salesforce
· Motivated to learn and advance your career with additional courses as recommended
Education
· An undergraduate and/or postgraduate degree in Business/Economics or related field
· Must be licensed with Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization (CIRO) as an Investment Representative (IR)
· Registered Representative (RR) licensing to be obtained within 18 months of date of hire
· Holding or working towards a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation would be an asset
· Consideration would be given to candidates actively studying to achieve their IR within 6 months as well
. Note that position title would be Assistant until IR license received
The expected annualized base salary range for this role is $50,000-$70,000.
The actual salary offered will take into consideration a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the individual’s skill, experience, education and training, and the consideration of internal equity.
