Position Overview The Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for supporting the quality, reliability, security, and operational readiness of enterprise technology solutions across Richardson Wealth's application portfolio. This hands-on role works across business applications, digital channels, integrations, APIs, data platforms, batch processes, reporting solutions, and third-party products. The analyst will apply risk-based testing, critical thinking, and strong analysis throughout the delivery lifecycle, working closely with product owners, business analysts, developers, architects, vendors, and business stakeholders. The successful candidate will bring broad testing capability, practical experience testing Salesforce, and the ability to contribute to sustainable test automation. Automation is an important part of the role, but it complements rather than replaces functional, exploratory, integration, data, security, accessibility, and end-to-end business-process testing.

Key Responsibilities
Quality Assurance and Test Delivery
- Develop and execute risk-based test strategies for projects, enhancements, production fixes, and operational changes, including estimation, planning, test design, execution, defect management, reporting, and release recommendations.
- Analyze business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and solution designs to identify gaps, dependencies, risks, and testability concerns early in the delivery lifecycle.
- Design and maintain traceable test coverage across functional, integration, system, regression, exploratory, data, security, accessibility, and end-to-end testing.
- Prepare test scenarios and data, execute manual and automated tests, investigate failures, document results, validate defect resolutions, and perform deployment verification.
- Apply appropriate testing techniques, including positive, negative, boundary, exception-path, state-transition, role-based, data-driven, and exploratory testing.
- Support system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), production-readiness assessments, smoke testing, post-implementation validation, and release-risk discussions.
- Communicate testing progress, coverage, defects, dependencies, and release risks to technical and business stakeholders. Enterprise Application, Integration, and Data Testing
- Design and execute testing across web applications, mobile solutions, APIs, integrations, batch processes, data platforms, reporting solutions, vendor products, and back-office applications.
- Validate end-to-end business processes and data movement across upstream and downstream applications, including interfaces, document services, identity services, and external service providers.
- Test application security and access controls, including roles, profiles, permissions, sharing, segregation of duties, persona-based access, and data visibility.
- Perform backend validation using SQL, SOQL, logs, API responses, and approved query or diagnostic tools.
- Validate data completeness, transformations, reconciliation, referential integrity, duplicate and null handling, exception processing, and incremental data changes.
- Coordinate test data and environment readiness while ensuring confidential information is masked, stored, and used in accordance with corporate security and privacy requirements.
- Perform testing within Salesforce, including configuration, workflows, security, integrations, data, and custom functionality, as part of the broader enterprise application portfolio.
- Adapt test approaches to the technology, delivery model, business process, and risk profile rather than relying on a single platform-specific method. Test Automation and Quality Engineering
- Identify stable, repeatable, and high-value automation candidates based on risk, frequency, business criticality, maintainability, and expected benefit.
- Develop and maintain automated smoke, functional, regression, integration, and API tests across enterprise applications.
- Build reusable, readable, and maintainable automated tests using approved tools, frameworks, source-control practices, and coding standards.
- Collaborate with QA, development, and DevOps team members to integrate automated tests into Azure DevOps Pipelines or an equivalent CI/CD platform.
- Analyze automated-test failures and distinguish application defects from test-data, environment, configuration, and automation-script issues.
- Monitor automation reliability, useful coverage, execution results, maintenance effort, execution time, and false-failure rates.
- Participate in peer reviews, contribute to automation standards, and share knowledge with other QA team members.
- Recognize when manual, exploratory, usability, accessibility, or business-process testing will provide greater value than automation.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive, hands-on software quality assurance or quality engineering experience supporting complex enterprise applications.
- Demonstrated breadth across functional, integration, system, regression, exploratory, data, security, API, and end-to-end business-process testing.
- Experience testing across multiple applications and technologies, including web applications, APIs, integrations, data flows, batch processes, vendor platforms, or back-office systems.
- Hands-on experience testing Salesforce in an enterprise environment, including configuration, security, integrations, data, and end-to-end processes.
- Demonstrated experience developing, maintaining, or materially contributing to automated tests using Browserstack, Playwright, Selenium, Tricentis, or an equivalent automation tool or framework.
- Experience selecting appropriate automation candidates and balancing automated testing with manual, exploratory, and risk-based testing.
- Experience with API testing using Postman, REST Assured, Playwright API, or an equivalent tool.
- Practical proficiency in at least one scripting or automation language, such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Java, or equivalent.
- Strong SQL skills and practical experience validating and reconciling data across integrated systems; working knowledge of SOQL is preferred.
- Experience using Azure DevOps Test Plans, Boards, Repos, and Pipelines, or equivalent test-management, source-control, and CI/CD tools.
- Strong knowledge of Agile delivery, defect management, test evidence, requirements traceability, release governance, and risk-based testing.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, written communication, stakeholder-management, and facilitation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience testing Salesforce Financial Services Cloud or another major CRM, ERP, wealth management, or financial-services platform.
- Experience in Canadian wealth management, brokerage, investment, banking, or another regulated financial-services environment.
- Knowledge of advisor, client onboarding, investment management, trading, servicing, fee billing, document, reporting, or back-office business processes.
- Experience testing responsive web applications and mobile experiences across supported browsers and devices; experience with cross-browser and device-testing platforms such as BrowserStack is an asset.
- Familiarity with accessibility, usability, and performance-testing practices.
- Familiarity with Salesforce Lightning, Apex and Lightning Web Components from a testing perspective, Salesforce Inspector, Salesforce DX, Git, or Salesforce DevOps tooling.
- ISTQB, Salesforce, test automation, or another relevant certification.
- Familiarity with systems such as Dataphile, NBIN, ISM, PureFacts, Envestnet, or CGI Wealth360.
- Canadian Securities Course or comparable industry education.
Success in This Role The successful candidate is a well-rounded, hands-on quality professional who can quickly understand business processes, identify risk, and validate solutions across a diverse technology landscape. They are comfortable moving between applications, integrations, APIs, data flows, digital experiences, and enterprise platforms, including Salesforce. They challenge assumptions, uncover risks that may not be evident in documented requirements, and use clear evidence to support release decisions. They apply automation selectively and effectively, contribute maintainable automated tests, and maintain a strong focus on exploratory testing, customer and advisor experience, data quality, security, accessibility, operational readiness, and business outcomes.
The expected annualized base salary range for this role is $85,800-$94,500.
The actual salary offered will take into consideration a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the individual’s skill, experience, education and training, and the consideration of internal equity.
