Finance Office Assistant / Junior Finance Manager Trainee

Richmond Hyundai | Richmond, BC

Salary: $4,000 per month ($48,000 annually)

Full-Time

Start Your Career in Automotive Finance

Richmond Hyundai is looking for a motivated, organized and customer-focused Finance Office Assistant to join our growing team.

This is not intended to be a long-term administrative position. This is a training and development role designed to prepare the right candidate to become a Junior Finance Manager.

You will work directly alongside our Finance Department, learning how automotive financing, leasing, lender approvals, protection products, documentation and vehicle deliveries work inside a high-volume dealership.

For someone who is ambitious, professional and eager to build a career in automotive finance, this is an opportunity to learn the business from the inside and develop toward a significantly larger role.

What You’ll Do

You will support the Finance Department while gradually being trained in the responsibilities of a Finance Manager, including:

Preparing finance and lease documentation
Organizing customer files and ensuring documentation is complete
Assisting Finance Managers with lender and funding requirements
Communicating with customers regarding required documents and delivery preparation
Following up on outstanding paperwork, signatures and approvals
Preparing finance files for vehicle deliveries
Assisting with warranty, protection product and aftermarket documentation
Working with our Sales, Accounting and Management teams to ensure deals move smoothly from sale to delivery
Learning dealership systems, lender portals and finance processes
Helping maintain a professional, organized and efficient Finance Office
Providing an excellent customer experience before, during and after delivery
Gradually learning customer interviews, credit applications, lender submissions and financial product presentations
Taking on additional Finance Manager responsibilities as your training progresses

Where This Role Can Lead

Our goal is to develop a successful candidate into a Junior Finance Manager.

You will receive hands-on exposure to:

Automotive lending
Leasing
Credit applications
Lender relationships
Finance approvals
Vehicle protection products
Extended warranties
Finance office compliance
Customer presentations
Deal structuring
Funding and documentation
Dealership operations

Advancement is based on your performance, ability to learn, professionalism, accuracy, customer service and demonstrated readiness to take on greater responsibility.

Who We’re Looking For

You do not need to already be an experienced Automotive Finance Manager.

We are more interested in finding someone with the right ability and attitude.

The ideal candidate will be:

Ambitious and interested in building a career in automotive finance
Extremely organized and detail-oriented
Professional in appearance and communication
Comfortable speaking with customers
Confident working with numbers and financial information
Able to handle confidential customer information responsibly
Comfortable learning new software and technology
Able to work in a fast-paced environment
Reliable and able to follow through on tasks
Coachable and eager to learn
Comfortable working as part of a sales-driven team
Able to communicate clearly and professionally in English

Previous experience in banking, lending, automotive sales, customer service, luxury retail, hospitality, administration or another customer-facing environment would be an asset, but is not required.

The ability to communicate in Mandarin and/or Cantonese is considered a strong asset due to the diverse customer base we serve.

Why Richmond Hyundai?

Richmond Hyundai is a busy, ambitious dealership with a strong focus on growth, customer experience and developing people from within.

You will have the opportunity to learn from an experienced automotive management and finance team while being exposed to a large volume of real-world transactions. We believe the best way to learn this business is by being involved in it.

For the right person, this position can provide a path from:

Finance Office Assistant → Junior Finance Manager → Finance Manager

Rather than waiting years for an opportunity to move forward, we want someone who is prepared to learn quickly, take on responsibility and earn their next position.

Compensation

Starting Salary: $4,000 per month / $48,000 annually

Future compensation will change as the successful candidate progresses into a Junior Finance Manager position.

Schedule

This is a full-time dealership position and candidates should be comfortable working a schedule that may include evenings and weekends.

Apply

If you are organized, ambitious, professional and interested in building a career in automotive finance, we would like to hear from you.

Please submit your resume along with a short introduction explaining why you are interested in automotive finance and what makes you a strong candidate for the role.

Richmond Hyundai welcomes applications from qualified candidates of all backgrounds. Hiring decisions are based on qualifications, experience, potential and the requirements of the position.
