Job Overview
The Application Developer will be involved in the design, development, integration and support of various business processes and applications by working closely with project managers and business analysts in a dynamic team to meet or exceed our business requirements and expectations for the final deliveries and ongoing supports. |

Duties and Responsibilities
- Support and maintain various current systems including: web interface, middleware , data integration processes;
- Fully understand the business requirements documentation and create technical design documents based on the Business Requirements Document.
- Perform system integrations, application development, Quality Assurance, and deployment of various applications.
- Analyze and deliver system enhancements based on support needs of internal business partners.
- Understand and contribute to the application and data architecture design.
- Design database schemas including stored procedures, triggers, functions, and views.
- Develop various reports using reporting tools (ideally MS Reporting) and data integration using SSIS.
- Follow the best practices to document and manage applications and their source codes in Team Foundation Server.
- Other duties as assigned by manager.

Qualifications (Education, Experience and Certification)
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent
- Microsoft certified professional (MCSD for web application development) an asset
- Minimum of 3 years of in-depth Microsoft environment Software development experience with a focus on web
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in SQL database schema design and development

Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in creating and using web services (REST/SOAP)
- Development experience in a cloud environment, especially MS Azure
- Strong knowledge of SDLC
- Microsoft Visual Studio
- Familiarity with latest Microsoft .Net Framework
- Team Foundation server
- HTML, JavaScript, XML, CSS, Ajax, HTML5
- Database schema design (tables, view, store procedures, triggers) in SQL server 2012 or above
- SQL server job scheduling and Oracle database development
- Understanding of SSL, SSO and Authentication with certificate (ADFS) concepts
- Familiarity with IIS and FTP setup, configuration in Windows platform
- Experience with Application development and integration in Service Oriented Architecture
- Experience with agile development environment
- Strong self-sufficiency and initiative working on various projects.
- Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with both internal team members and external business stakeholders
- Experience in SharePoint/SharePoint online Administration and development skills will be good assets
