Lead AI Engineer, Client Delivery

Toronto, Canada | CA$180K-CA$300K base + equity

About Us

My client is a growing Fintech Operations specialist.

The Role

Our client delivery seat: own each ML/AI engagement end to end, from scoping through build, deployment and handoff, as the single technical and strategic contact for fintechs from startups to mature firms.

Responsibilities

Scope, build and deliver client engagements
Lead small project teams
Design and deploy ML solutions across varied domains
Evaluate emerging tools and apply the right ones

Requirements

6+ years of hands-on ML, shipping models to production
Depth in predictive ML, computer vision or LLM/agentic systems
Cloud AI platforms (Bedrock, Vertex AI, Azure AI Foundry) and Docker
Python or TypeScript, SQL, Git; LangChain, LlamaIndex or similar
Experiment tracking (MLflow, W&B)
Clear communicator with executives and skeptical engineers
Bonus: owned a client-facing engagement end to end
