Accident Benefits Specialist
Full-Time, Permanent | Ontario
Salary: $85,000–$115,000 annually

The Opportunity
Our client, a well-established and highly regarded Ontario personal injury law firm, is seeking an experienced Accident Benefits Specialist to join its team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an Accident Benefits professional with experience handling complex and catastrophic injury claims who is looking to transition their expertise into a legal environment. Qualifications
- University degree and/or CIP or FCIP designation.
- Minimum 3 years of Accident Benefits adjusting experience, including catastrophic and complex injury claims in Ontario.
- Strong knowledge of the Statutory Accident Benefits Schedule (SABS) and applicable regulations.
- Strong communication, organization and client-service skills.
- Ability to independently manage a complex caseload and competing deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate and responsive support to clients throughout the Accident Benefits process.
- Attend prospective client meetings at the office, hospitals, rehabilitation facilities and clients' homes as required.
- Complete, submit and monitor Accident Benefits applications, forms and expense claims.
- Manage a caseload of complex Accident Benefits matters.
- Coordinate and participate in rehabilitation case conferences, team meetings and client care discussions.
- Liaise with clients, insurers, rehabilitation professionals, medical providers, employers and legal counsel.
- Review benefit denials, reductions and terminations and assist with applications to the Licence Appeal Tribunal (LAT).
- Work closely with legal counsel on dispute resolution and litigation strategy.
- Monitor limitation periods, deadlines and file documentation.
- Follow up with insurers regarding delayed, denied or unpaid benefits.
- Collaborate with lawyers and support staff to ensure seamless client service.
- Participate in industry conferences, educational seminars and networking events as required.
Compensation & Benefits
- $85,000–$115,000 annual salary
