Our client, an industry-leading North American food manufacturer producing high-quality, plant-based nutritional products is looking for an Accounting Manager who will:
Financial Reporting & Month-End Close
- Lead full-cycle accounting and the month-end close process, ensuring accurate financial records, timely reporting, and well-supported journal entries. Based on general knowledge.
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations, and support budgeting, variance analysis, and unusual item investigation with leadership. Based on general knowledge.
Accounting Operations & Compliance
- Oversee key accounting functions, including fixed assets, inventory valuation, lease accounting, payroll accounting, accounts payable, and accounting support for property holding companies. Based on general knowledge.
- Assist with annual audits, tax filings, government surveys, bank payments, and other compliance-related reporting requirements. Based on general knowledge.
Process Improvement & Team Support
- Document and improve accounting processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and internal controls. Based on general knowledge.
- Mentor junior accounting staff and contribute to special projects and initiatives that drive continuous improvement across the accounting function. Based on general knowledge.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Manufacturing industry is a must
- Familiar with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics 365). Experience using Dynamics 365 Business Central ERP software is an asset.
