What You'll Be Doing
- Lead sourcing and procurement activities to support operational and business objectives.
- Negotiate pricing, delivery, quality, and service agreements with suppliers while fostering long-term partnerships.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and supply chain efficiencies.
- Assess supplier capabilities, performance, and market competitiveness to support informed sourcing decisions.
- Monitor market trends, commodity movements, and emerging technologies to proactively manage supply risks and opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Engineering, Production, Finance, and Quality to support business initiatives.
- Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning activities related to procurement and supply chain operations.
- Develop and maintain supplier scorecards, performance metrics, and continuous improvement programs.
- Support new product introductions and supplier development projects.
- Manage procurement-related projects to ensure objectives are delivered on time and within budget.
What We're Looking For
- Post secondary education/ experience in Engineering, or a related discipline is a must hve
- 5+ years of purchasing, sourcing, or procurement experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience managing supplier relationships, negotiations, and sourcing initiatives.
- Exposure to contract manufacturers or external production partners is considered an asset.
- Experience sourcing metal components, fabricated parts, or industrial products is highly desirable.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP systems.
