Contracts and Compliance Manager

Our client is seeking an experienced Contracts & Compliance Manager to oversee commercial contracts, compliance programs, and enterprise risk management across a growing manufacturing organization.

This role will be responsible for managing the full contract lifecycle, supporting commercial negotiations, ensuring regulatory compliance across Canada and the U.S., and developing processes that protect the organization while enabling business growth.

Responsibilities:

• Draft, review, negotiate, and manage commercial agreements, including MSAs, SOWs, NDAs, customer, and supplier contracts.
• Oversee the full contract lifecycle, including renewals, amendments, and contract administration.
• Develop systems to proactively manage contract obligations and renewal timelines.
• Partner with Sales and business leaders to negotiate and manage contractual risk.
• Lead compliance, risk management, and governance initiatives across the organization.
• Conduct risk assessments, compliance reviews, audits, and investigations.
• Monitor compliance with applicable Canadian and U.S. regulations.
• Develop policies, controls, training programs, and compliance reporting.
• Prepare executive-level reports, recommendations, and governance updates.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Risk Management, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in contract management, commercial negotiations, compliance, or risk management.
• Strong knowledge of commercial contracts, regulatory compliance, and risk mitigation practices.
• Experience in manufacturing, industrial, engineering, or a similar environment preferred.
• Knowledge of anti-corruption, data privacy, supply chain compliance, export controls, and related compliance frameworks.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to balance business objectives and risk.
