Support ongoing governance and compliance initiatives across the organization.

Audit & Compliance Leadership

Serve as the primary lead for the annual external financial statement audit.
Coordinate audit planning, supporting documentation, and auditor requests.
Ensure audit readiness by maintaining well-organized financial records and schedules.
Partner closely with external auditors and internal stakeholders to ensure an efficient audit process.
Continuously strengthen internal controls and financial governance practices.

Leadership & Team Development

Mentor, develop and coach members of the accounting team.
Foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performance culture.
Act as a trusted resource for technical accounting, reporting, and process improvement matters.
Help prioritize departmental initiatives and allocate resources effectively to meet business objectives.

What We're Looking For:

CPA designation (required).
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including experience as a Controller, Assistant Controller, or in a similar leadership role.
Strong technical accounting and financial reporting expertise.
Experience leading external financial statement audits.
Knowledge of Canadian Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE).
Experience operating within multi-entity environments is considered an asset.
Public practice or audit firm experience would be viewed favorably.
Advanced proficiency with ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, and financial reporting tools.
Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to influence and collaborate across multiple departments.

What Will Make You Successful:

You are a proactive and solutions-oriented finance leader who combines technical expertise with a practical, business-minded approach. You enjoy identifying opportunities for improvement, implementing stronger controls, and helping organizations scale effectively. Most importantly, you lead with integrity, accountability, and a commitment to financial excellence.

Why Join This Organization?

Our client has built a strong reputation for operational excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement. As the organization continues to grow, the Controller will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on both the finance function and the broader business.

In return, our client offers:

Competitive compensation package.

Professional development and CPA support.
A collaborative and supportive leadership team.
The opportunity to influence process improvements and organizational growth.
