Our client, a well-established manufacturer in the forest products industry, is seeking a Controller to join their site leadership team. This is a confidential search conducted by Robert Half.
As the senior financial resource on site, the successful candidate will partner with the site management group to help operate and grow a successful lumber division.
You'll Do
- Prepare timely and accurate full-cycle accounting for the division, including monthly journal entries, financial statement packages, reconciliations, and required reporting
- Provide operational and financial support and analysis to the division's management team and corporate head office
- Supervise administrative office staff and coach operational personnel on financial matters relating to their area of responsibility
- Coordinate and prepare the annual business plan
- Participate in the management team and provide value-added decision support
You Have
- A professional accounting designation (CPA), or be in the final stages of completion
- Well-established organizational and leadership skills
- Excellent communication skills
- A detailed, proactive approach to work
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with Oracle and/or JD Edwards accounting software considered a strong asset
- Forestry industry experience preferred but not required
What's Offered
- Competitive base salary with an annual bonus opportunity; typical range $102,000–$132,000, depending on education and relevant experience
